Our family (me, DH, DS17 and DD15) has done WDW so often but we've never done DCL. I think it's time but I'm overwhelmed!

First, DS & DD would prefer to NOT share a bed. DH & I want to sleep together. What category stateroom would be best?

Second, we'd like to do either the 3 or 4 day cruise. Is there that much difference between the two? I don't think we're really interested in shore excursions and would probably spend most of our time on the ship.

Thanks for any insight you can give me!

The cabins that sleep 4 are 1 queen bed 1 sofa bed and 1 bed that pulls down from the ceiling. So you and DH can sleep in queen bed and 2 kids will each have their own bed.

Can't answer the 3-4 day cruise question as we have only done 7 day. I felt that 3-4 days just wasn't long enough to relax.

We did our first DCL cruise (four-night) last year and loved it. We're booked to go on a seven-day this coming spring break.

Other than the suites, I'm pretty sure that any of the cabins that sleep four have one double bed and an upper/lower berth. The lower bed converts to a sofa during the day and the upper berth folds up into the ceiling. It's really a bunk bed type of arrangement, if your DS and DD will be OK with that.

The three-night cruise and four-night cruise include stops at Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas. The four-night cruise also includes a day at sea (basically sailing up and down off of the Florida coast).

We have sailed twice on the Magic and will again this July (West Coast). I just want to add, If you can, do the 4 night.

I will tell you the best part of the 4 night cruise. It is the ONLY one of the cruises that doesn't put Castaway Cay on the last day. When we have done the 3 or 7 night cruises we felt so rushed getting packed up that evening after getting back on board from CC, going to the show and enjoying dinner.

On the 4 night cruise, you have your day at sea on the last day, so you can go to Castaway Cay the day before without thinking about packing. Then on the day at sea just take your time to pack up whenever you want to during the day.

The 3 night cruise goes so fast you don't get to relax. The 7 night cruise is nice but you have to pack a lot (because of formal night--on the 3 or 4 night there is no formal or semi-formal night).

3 night cruise - Blink and it's over and done with. 4 night cruise at least you get a blink and a half in. I'd do the 4 night over the 3 night!!
