Hi!

We are doing our first trip in January. We have 6 day tickets. On The day before we fly home there are morning EMH at MK and I would like to give it a try! My kids are 6 and 4 but pretty puny so the bigger rides aren't really a concern for us.

WWYD? Would it be a waste of time since we don't need to race to the bigger attractions? Or could we see tons of other cool stuff since most other people are aiming for the coasters?

Thanks for any tips!

As far as I know, the only things open for EMH are Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. You could revisit your favorites there, assuming you had already been to MK earlier in your trip. All depends on if you want to get up extra early or sleep in a bit and go to another park. I like EMH at MK but I almost always hop to another park in the afternoon.

If you can get up for it, why not? It's an extra hour and it's less crowded, what's not to love? What are your plans for the day before the EMH day? Are you staying up late? taking it easy? That may determine your family's ability to get up early, especially since it is at the end of your stay.

In case you hadn't already checked, these are the attractions open for early MK EMH:

Buzz
Dumbo
Enchanted Tales w/Belle
it's a small world
Meet: Ariel, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Aurora, Tiana
Philharmagic
Peter Pfan
7 Dwarfs Mine Train
Space Mtn
Barnstormer
Winnie the Pooh
Speedway
Journey of Little Mermaid
Carousel of Progress

Get up early and get to the AM EMH. It's a perk for staying on site, so if you can get up in time, then do it. You'll benefit greatly from the low crowds for a couple hours. Then you can sleep on the plane on the way home

Has something changed? Most lists I have seen also include the Astro Orbiter, Mad Tea Party, Prince charming Carousel, and People mover

I did EMH at MK last April with my DH and 7 kids. By 10:00 we had done everything in Fantasyland and quite a bit in Tomorrowland. I think it's worth getting up an hour early for!

Thank you everyone!!

I think we will give it a go! Sounds like a good way to spend our last full day....revisiting some favorites before hopping for ADR at Tusker House.

Do it. We have littles and always go as early as possible it's the best time

So where do most people usually head first on EMH? Tomorrowland or Fantasyland? On non EMH days, I had planned on heading straight to Adventureland, but looks like it's not open for EMH.

You will learn by your last day, but you are going to need to budget plenty of time to get there and get through the ropes before the 8am open for EMH. Don't get off transportation at 8am. Buses and boats are slow. Security and little feet are slow. We learned pretty quickly that making rope drop is difficult with tired little people. So take it easy the night before. It is worth it though.

Lines for Peter Pan, Buzz and the Speedway build quickly. Take a look at some of the Touringplans.com plans for days with little kids to get an idea of what order to do them for the biggest bang for your first 2 hours.

Totally agree. We budget an hour for transportation!

If Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a must for you on your vacation, and you don't have a fastpass for it, I would highly recommend doing this attraction during EMH. If it is not a must-do, you can get a lot of things done within that hour plus the following couple hours the park actually opens to everyone.
