I am thinking of getting the DDP for our trip in Feb 2012. I am hoping someone can help me understand what you get? What are these drink mugs everyone is talking about? And is there a list of menus somewhere that shows what you are allowed to get with your credits? Is it anything on the menu? I guess I want to know what the restrictions are....thanks so much!:)

Here is a link to Disney web site for details on the dinign plan...When the page opens there are links on the right that have ALL the details you are looking for. As for your "Mugs" questions, the Mugs are a "Free" refillable mug that you may use at food court (Or counter Service restaurant) at your Home resort. You may use it as many times as you would like during the lenght of your stay. (or depending on who you ask, even future visits to the world, but that is a whole other topic for another day...lol) Hope this helps out a bit....

Well I’m not an expert on the DDP:confused3, but I can help you out with some of the other questions. The mugs you get when you check in to your resort and you can refill them with soda and coffee as many times as you like at your resort. As for menus you can find them here on the DIS at http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining.htm. They also have a link to get more information on the DDP there. I hope this helps a little. Have Fun with the planning.

And as a note, the vast majority of menu items on the menus at participating restaurants are available for DDP. There are only a very few items which may require an additional charge (and usually it's about $2). One of these is the feasts at Marrakesh. The Kitchen Sink (hm, I typoed "sick" in there... slip perhaps ;)) is also not available for credits as a dessert.

Along with the official menus and the WDWInfo menus, www.AllEars.net has an acceptable format and are updated pretty decently.

Last thing, you'll notice on the 2012 DDP brochures that the restaurant lists are far less than 2011, don't let that worry you. There's a very good chance that the full 2011 list will make it to the 2012 plans by the end of the year, just the non-Disney owned restaurants have until then to sign next year's contract. In the history of the DDP, only Fulton's has ever dropped from accepting the plan.

You may use it as many times as you would like during the lenght of your stay. (or depending on who you ask, even future visits to the world, but that is a whole other topic for another day...lol)
As for this, the official policy is length of stay, whether or not you can "get away" with going outside that policy is something best left for another day, but the official policy of Disney (and thereby these boards, as we go by the rules) is length of stay only.

(I know you weren't trying to start anything :), just wanted to make sure the message was clear).

Disney's now testing an electronic system that will limit mug refills to your length of stay only (and time out your refills - so you can get another only after so many minutes have passed).

So the mugs are only refillable at your resort and not all over disney?
