I am new to both this board and Disney.
I have spent a few days looking at past posts and have just a few simple questions:
What does ARD stand for?
I am staying off site from Dec 24th to Jan 4th. As somebody staying off site do all these comments regarding Disney restaurants become non applicable to me?
Assuming the answer is no, is there a particular Disney restaurant people suggest I take my 5 and 7 yr old to?
Can an outsider go to a Disney resturant located in a Disney resort?
Thanks
Dan

:welcome: to The DisBoards, Dan!

ADR stands for Advanced Dining Reservations. :upsidedow
Even if you are staying offsite, you can still make ADRs at any of the Disney dining spots. :upsidedow You are welcome to dine at any of the resorts or DTD (Downtown Disney) And as long as you have a park ticket, you can dine in any of the parks. :upsidedow

There is a wealth of great places to dine in Disney! :thumbsup2 Are you looking for character meals? Do you have picky or adventurous eaters in your family? In other words, tell us a little about you and your family so we can better make some suggestions on where to dine. Also, you can check out menus (and other info) on all Disney dining spots on www.allears.net :thumbsup2

Thank you for the quick responses.
Character meals will probably not work. We have a theme park near our home that we visit once a month and when my daughter gets within 100 yards of Dora she starts to shake.
Regarding being picky as long as there is a form of pizza my 7yr old will be fine. My 5 year old has a longer list of foods she eats
Last year at DTD we ate at Rainforest which they seemed to enjoy.
Thanks again
