Has anyone gotten lower than the $135.00 one way fare from Newark, NJ to Orlando on Song this year? I have been checking for months and the fare has never gone lower that I have known of. We are looking for Sept. airfare
on Song because we have credits from last year when flights went down to $59.00 each way.

Sure hope they go down as do not want to fly out of New York, as the flight is long enough with little ones without an hour ride in the car.

and got r/t of $115.60 pp. However, I started looking for airfare for November Teachers Convention week months ago and the airfare was very high. And it kept getting higher. I never saw a $59 fare at all.

So we are going out of LGA. It's a bit more of a ride, but the difference in cost pp at the time of purchase was over $100 so it's worth it to me. I have 2 boys (ages 7.5 and just over 3 at time of travel).

If you have checked to see the number of open seats and you see they are dwindling, I don't think you're going to see lower fares coming. With a practically full plane, I just don't think they are going to give a sale just to fill 5 empty seats.

Wish I could be more helpful. :confused3

I have never seen lower then $135. Last Oct we flew out of LGA because the tickets were almost $100 cheaper per person. This year we are also thinking about Sept. and we will proably be flying out of LGA, as much as I would rather fly out of Newark the price difference is just too much, so it will be LGA again. If you do find it cheaper out of Newark please post I'll be checking!

We too are flying out of LGD in Nov.! We bought the tix in Feb. at $59 each way!...while Newark was $185 each way! With 5 of us traveling, that is a huge savings!

I am flying out of LGA because Newark was alot more. When I asked the travel agent they said Newark has alot of fees that is why airfair is more. We are flying out of LGA at 6:30 am on Saturday so we are staying at a hotel.

We are also flying Delta Song LGA TO MCO Nov 8 to Nov 13

I booked on the 330 day mark, I needed 2 tickets nonstop
price was $135.00 round trip per person, had 2 $25.00 vochers

My price 2 tickets Round Trip Non Stop for $110.00 each.
This is the first time, & probably the last that I got such a low fair.

I will be searching again for the 330 mark for 18 people for Thanksgiving 2006

Wish me luck

I think we are on the same flight; we're flying out of LGA on Sat. Nov 5 at 6:30 am, and returning on Sunday Nov. 13 at 10 am ish.

Our first two people got the flight for 135 rt, but the rest of us were bumped up into 155 pp. We're taking a van service to get there. 6 of us going and 7 of us coming home. Sure beats the Newark prices though!!

We are flying out of Newark in July on Song. We are paying $245 R/T. We booked in February.

but we scored a killer rate from LAX. $198 RT. Now that was a deal we couldn't pass by. :cool1:

Are you going for Teachers Convention Week? What flights are you taking?

We'll be down 11/5-11/12 w/ our 2 boys (7 and 3). So looking forward to the trip.

We have the 5:30PM flight on 11/5! Actually, we are driving to Port Canaveral from Orlando, staying at the Radisson over night and taking the Disney cruise on Sunday morning! I am in the process of trying to convince DH to spend the day at WDW on Thursday after we dock! We have the 2:00PM flight return on 11/10...but I want to change it to the 8:45PM flight!

By the way, we ARE going for teacher's convention...I am a teacher! :flower:

AspiringCindy we will be there for NJ week also. We are leaving the Nov 8th
& taking the DCL on the 10th. to the 13th

Your going to keep the Wonder warm for us? Your getting off on Thurs, & we are getting on.

Do you have your room assignments as of yet?

We have cabins 2030 & 2032 adjoining! We will try to upgrade at port!(we have done it successfully before)
What cabin do you have?

I looked forever at Newark and never saw it drop below $120...we ended up booking out of JFK. We have a 2 year old and 4 year old and know what you mean about travelling with little kids but after scoring our tickets at almost 1/2 the price it would have been out of Newark I think the extra hour in the car is worth it...

Unless you will only fly song check out usa3000. I just booked them for December 69/one way EWR to MCO.

Patricia, first Good luck! Sounds like you are a good planner.
I know I could count the days but did you use any type of counter so you knew when it was 330 days out?

Same here.
We book early morning flights so that we can get over the GWB and over to JFK before morning traffic starts. WE do leave earlier than needed to miss the traffic, too. Our flight is at 8am and we will leave at 5:45 just to be safe. It's a 40 minute trip without traffic.
Mapquest has JFK just 4 more miles from our house than Newark, but it's much more of a hassle to get to, so I much prefer Newark.
But for $145 a person, I'm flying out of JFK and happy about it!
Haven't flown out of Newrak for 3 years now because of the great JetBlue fares(though this year they weren't great so we picked Song)
