Hi. Flying out of Newark airport. Anyone have any insight into good hotels near it? Looking to park there as well for 10 days. Found Doubletree. Also - do they really enforce the per room person limit? 2 adults, 4 kids. Would they care or even notice?? Thanks in advance!!!

I assume you will be taking a hotel shuttle to the airport? How will you explain the extra people?
I assume its the one in Elizabeth? There's not a heck of a lot around there except ikea and the outlets but it should be fine for the night.

I'm assuming it's the Doubltree on the road surrounding the airport. Make sure you booked a park n sleep rate for 14 days.

Will you get a good night's sleep with 6 people in the room? I don't know if you'll get caught. Why not just book a hotel which permits 6 people. It's possible putting 6 people in the shuttle will be noticed. Might also be an issue if you booked a rate which includes breakfast.

Thanks. Trying to find one that permits six people. There are two under 14 and two under 8 so I will see what I can do.

If you're looking to save money, book 2 hotel rooms through Priceline. First search the traditional way and see how many stars Hilton, Doubletree, Marriott, etc. are getting. Then name your price for that star level and you'll be fine. You'll save a ton over rate. Then you can park at one of the MANY parking facilities around Newark Airport.

I think I got the links right. Just google EWR parking.

You can try this, or just book a room with one adult and two children with the sleep/park/fly rate and a second room with one adult and two children with the lowest rate you can get. Nothing to worry about for occupancy limits or getting caught with too many people on the shuttle. Then, arrange people in the rooms however you please.
