New Yorkers Beware...Mickey is coming to town! June 17th, 2012 Canada Cruise

Hi - we had to move our cruise and are no longer going to be joining you guys on this one :(

We were in the FE as well...

I updated my parents...so we're all on the FE list...woohoo....next final payment!!:rotfl2:

Just wanted to let everyone know that I called DCL today to see if they have information yet on the shows and dining rotation for our cruise.

The shows will be the same as the standard shows on the Magic: All Aboard! Let the Magic Begin! on the first night; Remember the Magic on the last night; and Twice Charmed, Villains Tonight and Disney Dreams on the other three nights (although the order is not yet set).

For dining, the order will be as follows:

Night 1 - Rotational Menu
Night 2 - Semi-Formal Night
Night 3 - Rotational Menu
Night 4 - Pirate Night
Night 5 - Rotational Menu

Of course, this is all subject to change, but that's what they have scheduled for now. I was a little surprised because I expected the last night to be the Til We Meet Again menu, but this is what I was told.

If that is correct, maybe we will be getting lobster in lobster country on night 2!

A lobster night would sure make sense, but Disney historically has not had lobster night for cruises less than 7 nights. Of course, they also have never sailed up through New England to Eastern Canada where lobsters abound, so I guess it's possible. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for any more information as June 17 approaches!

Has anyone asked DCL what the dining rotations are? For a 5 night such as ours, would the "repeats" be in a row or would the 3 dining room sequence just start again for the last 2 nights? Bottom line, how do we figure out where we want to ask to be on semi-formal and pirate nights:idea:!

I have a question about the boarding times. I don't know the exact time we will arrive at the port. We will take the train and then get a taxi to the port. Last time we sailed we had to pick our boarding time. I will have to try and make an educated guess on our arrival time. Does anyone know what will happen if we are later or earlier than the time I picked.

Thanks

Working on my frist FE today not sure how big to make it. We are 3 adults traveling. Any input would be helpful.

I think you can find exact measurements on the DCL info sticky on the top of the cruise forum. I did ours like this for two and for three for our first few FE experiences. However I found that many things stuck out of the little pockets as an open invitation to people passing by. Unfortunate but true. So last time and I plan this time to decorate a small tote bag as my FE. It worked really well for all of us last time. I would also recommend taking a tie to attach your FE to the fish (one you can easily cut at end of cruise) because they have been known to grow legs and "walk".

Thanks that helps.

Thanks! I can't wait!! I'm dying to get out suitcases and start packing, but there isn't room in our house for suitcases to be laying around for 13 weeks. :rotfl:
