New Yorkers Beware...Mickey is coming to town! June 17th, 2012 Canada Cruise

Hey all...we just booked this cruise on the Dream yesterday!!:cool1: Pending my DD21 school schedule, we should be able to make this trip with the whole family....it is exciting to be able to just drive to the port........:cool1:

I am looking at this cruise as a suprise for Father's Day for my husband.
My self and my son will go.
My daughter wants to have her Wedding on a Disney cruise in June 2013:scared1:

We renewed our vows on the Disney Wonder last October. It was amazing! DH says he would do it again in a heartbeat! As always the service was great, we were treated like royalty! :) I think your Daughter will love it!

Welcome! We're also excited to be able to drive in from PA. We just flew down yesterday for our cruise next week and it was such a hassle. A 2 hr delay with kids is never fun.

Joining in!! My family and I (there will be 7 of us) just booked this cruise! There will be me, my fiance, brother, sister, parents and grandmother in 3 oceanview staterooms on deck 2. My Fiance and I have cruised once on the Wonder and twice on the Dream, but this is the first cruise for the rest of my family.

We're from CT so we're glad to be able to drive into port. Excited that we don't have to catch a plane this time :)

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hi All! It will be my son, my mom & myself. My son & I cruised on the 2008 Panama repo on the Magic... it was an awesome time!!!! First time for my Mom so she's excited. Looking forward to meeting you all!:goodvibes

looking for help we are a southern family from south louisiana, never been up north. if disney dosn't offer a pre or post hotel offer we might stay at the LaGuardia airport hotel comming in on southwest because i heard driving a car in new york is a pain from traffic to parking. my question is how would we be able to get my daughter to the american girl store at 609 Fifth Avenue at 49th street

From LaGuardia, taxi is your best bet. Once you are in Manhattan, walking is pretty easy, with an occasional cab or subway if you need to travel more than a few blocks.

The American Girl store is over by Rockefeller Center. I stayed at the Edison Hotel on 47 St about two years ago and it wasn't the best hotel but it is right by Time Square. The hotel is an older but it was close to every thing and it was reasonably price (for New York). I think it is actually pretty close to the cruise ship terminal too.

We were in NYC this March and loved our hotel - Hilton Garden Inn New York/Chelsea. On a relatively quiet street in the flower district, it was a pretty good location. Walking distance to the Empire State and Times Square. Right now, the rates are pretty high (as they seem to be all over Manhattan for the summer!).

We will also be on the Magic for the June 17, 2012 cruise. My wife and I have two sons who will be 15 and 10 at the time of the cruise. This will be our 4th Disney cruise, having sailed on the Wonder in June 2007, the Magic in October 2009, and the Dream in August 2011. Looking forward to a great trip!

My daughter and I will be on this cruise. We are sooo excited. We can't wait to see New York. We are doing the Bahama cruise on the 22nd right behind this one. The idea of a back to back seems great. So many wonderful days on the ship.

This will be our 2nd cruise. We cruised on the Wonder last summer.

My daughter will be 11 at cruise time, turning 12 in August.

We are from Texas so I'm hoping to arrive a few days earlier and I'll need lots of advice on where to stay, what to see, and how to get there. I've been googling and I'm a little intimated.

We are also all in for the fish extenders so let me know so I look forward to seeing the list and knowing who all is joining.

We will be joining you all on the Magic for the new york to halifax cruise..
and also booked on western carribean on the fantasy in oct 2012..
We did the wonder to alaska in sept..and panama in jan..

Hello everyone!

That sounds like a blast. We are doing this one and the 8 day one to the Bahamas back to back on the Magic, but how cool that you'll experience 2 different ships.

I'm getting so excited!

Anyone researched the ports yet and started thinking about what you'll do?

Any ideas about weather?

We did a b2b Dream ...It was cool to do it on the same ship/same room cause they let you back on the ship earlier than everyone else... the whole ship to just a few people. I know you will love it!

I am still looking at port stops etc... they added one more port to the Fantasy so that will be fun

I looked at the pages for this one and they did not have the actual excursion details...so I am really not sure yet. I beleive it will be cooler than the bahamas for sure (my son will be happy) but I am really excited too... to see what will be available. :yay:

I hope winter goes fast!

My daughter is not so excited about Canada (she's 11) but she's excited to be doing the b2b and to going back to Castaway Cay. So it's sort of a cruise for mom and a cruise for daughter. :-)

I know the Disney site hasn't listed stuff, but I have done a little googling of the ports just to see what's there. I want to find at least one activity that will be enjoyable for her.

Hi! What did you think about your Alaska cruise? Did you have enough time in the ports? I am thinking about moving our Fantasy one in Aug to something else. Looking forward to meeting everyone in NY.
