New Year's FANTASY 12/28/13

Welcome Kim and Kara!

Kim, I saw your post about NYE on another thread. I'm so glad you decided to join us. There must be some kind of crazy NYE party, right?

This will be our first 7-night cruise. We did a 4-nighter on the Dream over Halloween last fall (I guess we are just drawn to holiday cruising) and wanted more. I am hopefully doing a 5-night on the Wonder next spring. Waiting for my cousin to make up her mind on that one. After that, I guess I will have to try the Magic so I can say I've been on all the ships.

So do you think they will match formal night up with NYE? Also, as silver cruisers, will I have any shot at getting my DDs in at the BBB for NYE?

Make sure you are booking BBB at exactly midnight when it opens up!!! If you don't get it, get to the port and on the ship early and you can probably snag it then. We didn't get Palo brunch on our last cruise but had no problems getting it on board....

But who's counting anyway! ;)

Ummmmmmm, me. 588 Days!

:rotfl2:

And me!!! 14143 hours!!!! :rotfl2: It's right around the corner!

And yes, Kim, I for one would LOVE if you'd set up a facebook page for us! I did it for our last cruise, and I know we had one for our Dream cruise and I felt like I REALLY got to know people better that way!

For FE, I set up the exchange back in March and I'd be happy to do it again. I just had everyone pm me DIS screen name, family name, first and last names of everyone in cabin, children's ages, cabin#, and email address...... And we will need to set a deadline and the max# of cabins to participate. We may need to break into 2 or more groups depending how many want to participate? I would say definitely no more than 20 cabins per group, ideally 15 is a great number!

Ok hold please! I'll go set it up now! BRB with the link! :thumbsup2

Kara! Friend me on FB, it won't let me create the group without adding at least one friend! LOL

We would be in for the FE as long as the numbers stay small. Our last experience was 50+ cabins and it was ridiculous.

I'm in for FB.

Absolutely not!!! I've heard of groups doing a random draw and splitting into two or even three groups if it's that big. I would be out, too, if it got that large.

So what do y'all think? 15-20 max?

My last FE was 80. This was for the maiden voyage of the Fantasy. We had options: A small group of approx, or a group including everyone, or a group including everyone but the people who were not within the cut date, and then I think there was one more. Silly me went for the large group. I got a lot of magnetics. I made luggage tags out of Shrinky Dink. It was fun delivering them, and coming home every night to another treat, but the cost was a little too much.

Hi everyone!

Glad there is more people on the boards!

Count down is on! :hourglass

We are trying RCCL on the Oasis for this Thanksgiving...hope I am not disappointed compared to DCL!

I'll be anxious to hear about it! We are doing Freedom of the Seas for spring break next year - it will be my first non-DCL cruise! :scared1: From what I hear, the ship is incredible (both Freedom AND Oasis class!), the activities are awesome, and the service is good. But no Mickey...... :sad2:

I looked at doing a RCCL cruise next spring, but I couldn't pull the trigger. I love the atmosphere of DCL so much, I was afraid I'd be disappointed with anything else. This after I said I wasn't sure I'd enjoy DCL as much if I wasn't with my kids. I guess I'll find out. I have almost booked for next spring with my BFF on the Wonder. Hoping to put our deposit down next week.

We just got back in March from the Dream without the kids....I'll have to say we really did enjoy it...maybe more without the kids...but don't tell my kids that!

Everyone is telling me that I will not be disappointed in the Oasis...I hope they are right! I will still miss my Mickey:love:

15-20 max on FE is PERFECT! Sign me up!:goodvibes

585!:hyper:

I put down my deposit today for a cruise on the Wonder next April. :cool1: Now I have 2 cruises to look forward to.

15-20 sounds fine for FE.
