New Year's FANTASY 12/28/13

My family is totally in for the FE! Beth, Steve, and our daughters Skye and Hope who will be 10 years old at cruise time. I agree that 15-20 families per group works great.

Is anyone else planning on cajoling their husbands into wearing a tux on NYE? I meant to buy Steve a mickey bow tie in Treasure Ketch last week on the 2day cruise, but forgot!

Kara - I so totally agree. Can't wait to meet you and Ellen and everyone. You guys are kinda like celebrities to me. I have read so many of your TR's that it is like wow I'm gonna meet Kara and Ellen! Woo Hoo! ;)

And look who I found Kara! Hottie McHotness! He was Hot! :rotfl2:

 When we went last year we went to Raglan Road and asked about him and they said he had moved somewhere else.... Fultons? I can't remember where it was but we checked for him and never did find him. It was so funny because we pulled up the DIS on our phones and found this pic of him and showed to the servers!!!! Once they realized who we were talking about they were all like.... "oh yeah......" But now I think he's kind of an enigma...... :confused3

I moved my room from 10658 down to 8188 so that big aft balcony room is now open if anyone else wants it. I needed to have a larger desk area and wanted the curtain screen which 10658 didn't have.

Pods will DEFINITELY be in a tux! Well- if it's the formal night! Is NYE the formal night?

Love to hear about the hubby's being in tux's but my DH will probably just wear his suit. That is as long as it still fits by then! :lmao:

Hey Ellen, Dunno because it is so far away. BUT.... if DCL was smart, NYE would be the formal night. If not, well Steve (and I'm betting Pods and lots of other DH's) will get to wear their tux for two nights on the ship, which makes even more room for my stuff in the luggage! :thumbsup2 So that begs the question, how great is the dry cleaning on the ship?

NYE is on Tuesday night which would usually be Pirate night. I wonder if they will change it up? We have not done the tux thing on the other cruises. I would love to get a picture with all of my guys in them though. Steve - are you reading??

Jeff won't do a tux - he just wears a black suit and matches his tie to whatever color Ally and I wear (cause we match ourselves too!).

It does look like Pirate Night is NYE, and that's because of the fireworks that night, heading from St Maarten to St Thomas is such a short jaunt they can afford to cruise really slow to set them off..... Also, not sure they want to do fireworks two nights??? I'm betting it's just one heck of a show that night.....

I'm thinking that I remember reading somewhere that on previous NYE cruises they pass out champagne in special flutes that guests are allowed to keep. Can anyone verify this who has sailed on a NYE cruise before? I also think it is really cool that the ship will still be decked out for Christmas. :santa: We will get to enjoy two holidays in one on our cruise!

I am sure Joe won't be wearing a tux...I have a hard enough time getting a suit on him! He says he is relaxing on vacation!

In 2010/11 formal night was NYE with fireworks, and champagne in plastic flutes that you could take home. Pirate night was Sunday night with no fireworks. This was an excellent cruise, but not as fun as the year before - for some reason the NYE party just seemed to be more fun. Check out You Tube to see videos of the party for both years. Also, we received a box of chocolates in our room on NYE, and Ducky Williams picture.

We are looking forward to meeting you and your family, along with everyone else. I plan on packing my hubby's tux ... whether he wears it or not may depend on when pirate night is. But he might be extra dashing with an eye patch, clip on earring and a tux, lol.pirate:

I like that idea -- pirates in tuxedos do sound rather dashing! pirate:pirate:
