Just wondering what - if anything happens in Disney on New Years Eve?
Its the one time of year that i dont seem to see or hear much info about!! :wave2:

MK does an incredible fireworks display for NYE. I know we see it on our local channel here. Also, Epcot does give out party hats and such for the evening show.

NYE falls right in w/ the massive holiday crowds. So, it all pretty much gets lumped into one w/ Christmas.

There are definite plans in place for the celebration at Pleasure Island and Cirque du Soleil: New Year's Eve

There's always a big fireworks display at Epcot, the MK and MGM. We did the MK once but found that we preferred Epcot for the two subsequent New Year's visits we've done. While all of the parks are super crowded, at Epcot we feel less hemmed in.

All of the parks give out the hats and horns. It really is a fun party and the fireworks are spectacular. :flower:

If you do a Search for New Years Eve and for NYE, you'll get dozens of threads, all about going to the parks on December 31st. There's a LOT of information out there, and having been there myself, I would strongly suggest you do some searching and researching - there's more info out there on the boards about the best way to do this than you'll get with responses to this thread.

Knowing what to expect can mean the difference between a horrible day filled with frustration, crowds and long waits, or a fun filled day happily moving from one event to another. Good luck!

I was at MK last New Year's Eve...they gave out party hats and noisemakers as well.

If you want a great Disney experience without the crowds (or as bad) we always stay at BW or BCV and it is tons of fun stuff going on there and you can view the incredible fireworks from Epcot on the bridge. If you know you are going to be there you can also try to secure a boat for a specialty cruise, we had that last year, its worth the extra ca$h. Its NYE why not.

thanks for the info i knew i could rely on you guys!! :)
Sorry but i'm still learning all the abreviations - what is BVC i am guessing BW is Board Walk but not sure on the other!!

We will be at PI to see Smash Mouth and enjoy the "adult" atmosphere!!
