I'd be interested to hear from people who have been to WDW on NYE.

I am looking at plans for 2017/18 and am trying to decide if I should arrive on NYE or NY Day (I'll be coming in for marathon weekend).

Is it crazy busy (I have survived a fourth of July there) or is it manageable?

I'll be coming from Las Vegas (where I have done a NYE before) - so just trying to work out whether I travel between the two cities on 31 December or 1 January.

Thanks!

It's insanity. But kinda fun too. We went to MK on NYE, and the morning was absolutely dead. We walked on to every ride with little or no wait and pretty much saw everything we wanted to see by lunch time. By the time we left at 1, it was getting really busy. We came back around 4 pm to complete craziness! I've never seen so many people. I mean, you literally couldn't even walk around. I don't remember if we even attempted any rides. I'm sure we must have done something, maybe Carousel of progress or something. They opened the back passages where usually only cast members are allowed because it was so full nobody could walk. It was *almost* not worth it, except for the fact that we had done so much that morning it sort of made up for it, plus the fireworks were just amazing. So, would I do it again? Probably not. But I'm really glad I've done it once!
