New Years Eve in Universal Studios

Hi all

I live in the UK and we are coming over on holiday for new years eve. We would like to go to Universals City Walk to celebrate New Years eve and I just wondered if anyone had been before for New Years eve and what it was like?

Also, I cant seem to find any info on where to buy tickets for this as I understand its a seperately ticketed event? Does anyone know where I can get tickets for New Years eve or are they just not yet on sale?

It's busy and full of energy on NYE. There is a separately ticketed event at Citywalk that night. The tickets for those festivities usually go on sale after HHN is over with.

We are also comtemplating a NYE trip, will there be festivities/fireworks in the parks, or is this hard ticketed event the only option. Also if we were at the HRH with a pool view, if there are fireworks could they be viewed from the room?

The NYE at the parks is included with your day ticket. It is not a hard ticket event. The one at Citywalk is a ticketed event.

I'm not sure how it will be done this year but I will tell you what they did last NYE.

Simultaneous fireworks are set off in IoA, Universal, and Citywalk. The music, show, and fireworks are choreographed together.

There is a party in Citywalk that includes VIP viewing for the Citywalk fireworks. The party is seperate from the activites happening inside Universal and IoA. The party has different bands scheduled. I believe it was around $100 last year for the Citywalk party. I've never been and can't tell you much about it. I do my partying at the parks.

Margaritaville puts on a great party on the second floor deck, you can see the fireworks from all three displays. it's not cheap, but it's a lot of fun.
