I will be at Universal 12/29-1/5 with my husband and three kids, staying at HRH & PBH. I just got wind that it is really crowded in the parks for New Years Eve. Can any of you Universal veterans give me some perspective and advice on what I should expect. Do the parks get so crowded that they actually stop letting people in?? How would that effect us with on-site hotels and Annual Passes?

Also, where would you recommend for dinner New Years eve and how do I go about making reservations?

I assume there will be fireworks etc, what would be the most fun for us with our kids (15,10 & 7)? The kids are probably more capable of staying up late on New Years Eve than we are!!

We will be staying at the HRH on New Years Eve, is that a mistake, will it be terribly WILD? Any response from anyone who has been there would be appreciated. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I went last year on 12/30-12/31. The park was pretty packed from around noon to 6 pm. Hulk had a 90 minute wait. JPRA had a 75 minute wait. Even Triceratops Encounter had a 45 minute wait! USF waits were a little less.

You will probably want to eat at one of the resorts...Most of the City Walk/restaurants are closed for the ticketed event. Emeril's may be open, hard rock or NBA City or Nascar may be open also, as they sit away from where the place is usually closed off at.
