Hello my friends,

I haven't been feeling too well, but nothing serious. I think just stress, but I shall survive. Jesse is doing better, what a great kid, never a complaint out of him.

OMG I'm so looking forward to the cruise. A year away, but that's ok, at least I have it to look forward to.

Chad and Louise are going to Times Square tomorrow night, but I must be getting old because standing there for hours and hours ahead of time is not my cup of tea. They already have the area baracaded, and tomorrow if you step out of the baracade zone to, say, go potty, the police won't let you back in. Chad told me to wear a Depends! Who knows, I may do a drive by. I'm looking forward to the Twilight Zone marathon, so I have an excuse to lock myself in my room for 2 days!

Tig, I got your PM. I need my mom to leave first before I can make serious playdate plans. We'll tawk.

Jade, I'm sorry you won't be making the cruise after all, but keep in touch here on the thread, and maybe we'll meet up one day.

Brenda, I haven't done any scrapping over Christmas break...just not in the mood. I was soooooo excited to get my supplies, but I fizzled under the family circumstances.

Nan, c'mere and let me give you a hug. You're a good friend. You all are, so all of youse c'mere and let me hug you all!:grouphug:

I'm going for a drive now. Jesse is resting. Mel is watching football, mother is baking cookies:rotfl: :scared1:   , Chad went to Target with Lou, and I need some air.

I remember one night a few of us were online and we kept going back and forth as if we were really all together. It was so fun. Maybe we can do it again sometime, rum in hand of course!

LYMI!!!!!!!!

P.S. Kaz, Samuel is so cute!!!!!!!!! He looks just like you!

Drive down here if you need to!!!! I'm still home~

You got my number, just call from the car

Nan, registration is the 16th, classes start the 17th of Jan.

My required classes are science and macroeconomics, I have a list of electives to try for (whatever ones are not full-I need two.) I am hoping to get Editing for the Media and Graphic Design, my next two choices would be Entertainment Project Management and then Entertainment Promotion...because I am the anal planner I have backup for my backup. If all of those electives are unavailable I go to the Communication department and take whatever is available there. I really hope I don't need backup for my backups backup :lmao:

One year from today, drinking rum & coca cola....or rum and anything, you know me tooooooo well.

OMG Aisling....poor Jesse....but what's a few bruises...they will all GO AWAY & he'll be oh so much better...I'm glad you took the photos....they too can go in his scrapbook ALONG with the hospital & doctor bills....as much as they were....they'll be 'peanuts' in 30 years (or less)....

well hope the drive is doing you some good.....have you been able to get out to your Tai Chi while MOM has been here? when does she leave & your life get back to normal? We should get on a live chat one night.....Tigg & I both have Yahoo chat...anyone else?

Morning everyone  My DH has just assured me that the in-laws will disappear in around 24 hours so... :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

Actually, it's not been too bad ;) - I guess it's not their fault they have absolutely nooo sense of humour, expect to be waited-on hand and foot and are confused by the simplest of appliances... :rolleyes1

We had a very nice family lunch at a local Italian restaurant yesterday - the waiter kindly ensured my glass of Gavi was kept topped up at all times and that took the edge off my ma-in-law's ill-mannered, mean-spirited fussing... :thumbsup2

I'm hiding in our bedroom at the moment but shortly I'll have to get up and start preparing food for the day - roast beef/pork with all trimmings for lunch and party food/nibbles for the evening's festivities. As Annie would say, 'it's a hard knock life...' ;)

I can't believe that in ONE YEAR'S TIME WE'LL ALL BE TOGETHER??? :woohoo:  :woohoo:  :woohoo:

Have a great New Year's Eve one and all...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

To celebrate the season and the magic we share at sea, we wanted to send something special to light up the New Year—your own personal fireworks show. It's like the ones we do, but this time you control the magic in the sky.

Wishing you the best of the season and a dazzling New Year.

Your friends at Disney Cruise Line.

Hi Happy New Year

Did any one else get the above e-mail from Disney?

It is cool. It is a count down & has fireworks.

Hello there everyone!

Hope 2008 has started well for you! :grouphug: Despite a less than promising start, we actually had a great time on NYE. This made all us cruise-goers even more excited at celebrating NYE on the Magic! :woohoo: The in-laws left yesterday and I spent the day relaxing and eating leftovers - I decided to have one day of eating anything/everything I wanted to prior to starting my more sensible and restrictive regime today...

Apart from all my usual NY resolutions, I decided I wanted to do something for charity so I've signed up to do a 5k run for Breast Cancer later in the year. My Mother was my age (44) when first diagnosed with the disease so it seemed symbolic somehow...

Apart from all that, I've been plodding along doing the usual stuff - laundry, Christmas tree dismantling, laundry, gym-going and more laundry... :laundy:

Sorry..

Long time no type..

I hope everyone had a fun, safe New Years Eve... I look forward to spending it w/you all next year aboard the Magic.

I'll take the whole week to dismantle all my Christmas decos...laundry day here too. I finished my MILs resume for her this am. She just needed to type the details (for practice on Word) and I tweaked it and printed it for her.

My wish for all of you
In the year 2008
Is that your hardest challenge
Be maintaining your weight.

No more sickness
No more death.
No more babies
Taking their last breath.

May all our Inlaws
Behave themselves,
And all our Parents
Stay healthy as well.

My wish is not meant
To upset or depress,
It is only to point out
That we are all truly blessed.

LY guys MI

Happy New Year~

OMG I so needed to go the gym too! Even my stretchy exercise trousers felt a little on the snug side  so I had an hour with the personal trainer and I'm back with her on Monday for another hour - I know it's not for everyone but I love it! :yay:

I will do when the organisers get back to me, Brenda... :thumbsup2

Belated Happy New Year All,

First an update; Jeff and I are back together. Instead of threatening for as long as I did, I should have left him long ago. It was the shoock that he needed to not make me suffer for his past badage. He's been great since I've been back but it is taking me time (and I may never), to get back to how I used to feel about him.

Both Christmas and New Years eve were uneventfull. We did however have a good time in Las Vegas for my younger sons 21st birthday. We saw 3 shows, Menopause The Musical, Stomp Out Loud and The Beattles Rendition. I laughed so hard at Meopause and Jeff's comment after was "are you going through some of that?" DAH!!!!!!!! I informed him that women go through all of that but at different levels and that YES, I am going through all of that. Stomp was my sons choice and it was excellent. The Beattles was Jeff's choice and that was also great. I wish they would have done more of their songs because we were all up dancing and singing. My sons favorite place to go drink was Coyote Ugly's which was in New York, New York. We went with him one night and watched him interact with the crowd and dance and get drunk. He was having such a good time that he kept on getting free shots from the girls dancing on the bar. He did get a little miffed a me when I would get up on the bar and dance with some of the young girls. There was a time not that long ago that I would have but I'm not that same person now. I miss her! We had fun but I could have killed my son when he said that he would have like to have gone to Hawaii instead.

I have started a new postion at work and am trying to get myself organized. They combined my old job as Admin. Assistant/Receptionist with the Office Manager's (she retired) job and made me the Office Coordinator. I now do both jobs and am in the fron office all alone. That I don't like, but I do like the raise and at some point I'm hoping to be made an Exempt Employee and get more vacation and sick time. More Disney trips :woohoo:!

Speaking of Disney trips, we told Aaron about the NY cruise and he is very excited. We also told him that he is having to earn this trip and not get anything below a C on any of his report cards before we go. He is a smart (but lazy) kid but this has been an on going problem for as long as Jeff and I have been together. If he wants to go on the cruise bad enough he'll work harder.

Asling, I felt your pain, tiredness, frustration, sadness etc..... from way over here. I hope things are better now. I'm happy to see that Jesse is on the mend but OUCH!

Nan and Brenda, there had been mention of a mini meet when Karen is in Disneyland (I believe that was in August). I would love to do that and hopfully we can plan a families get together before the cruise. Asling, you should fly out and join us for that. I'm sure that you could stay with any one of us. If you stayed with me, we could go to the wine country.

I'm sorry that I have been such a lurker, but I'm hoping that my roller coaster life is straightening out and that I'll start feeling like myself again.

Debbie, hon!!! Lovely to hear from you and just so happy that you & Jeff are back on track. Hugs to you both...

I am most definitely going to be in LA next August - we arrive on August 9th, depart on the cruise the next day and check into the Disneyland Hotel for 6 nights on August 17th... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Morning all! Just giving us a little *bump* as we were halfway down page 2... :sad2:

Yesterday I realised that we're going to be able to book our flights for this cruise v-e-r-y soon so started to get excited! :cool1: That'll make it seem even more real... :thumbsup2

I saw a gorgeous evening gown yesterday - a beautiful satin navy blue halterneck! I thought it would look stunning with some serious bling! I might even go a little mad and get a sparkly Diamonique necklace like this... princess:
