Helloooo everyone!!!

Hope you all had a wonderfully fab-u-lous Christmas, my Magic Mateys!!! :santa: I can't believe that one year today my family and I will be over the Atlantic on our way to Orlando!!! :woohoo:

I returned last Saturday but what with Christmas preparations plus a bout of flu that started in WDW :( , I haven't had much chance to get online - hopefully I'll catch up asap...

So sorry we didn't get to meet up, Colleen - our flight was delayed by two hours plus it took well over an hour getting thro' immigration at MCO!!! So it was after 9pm when we arrived at SSR and we were both exhausted... :sad2:

Samuel and I had a truly magical time - despite feeling rather unwell for much of the week. Not sure when I'll get around to doing a trip report as the in-laws arrive tomorrow for New Year! And they're - shall we say - high maintenance... But, for now, here's just a little taster of our fab trip...

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted here in ages but I was up early this morning and started thinking about what we will be doing 1 year from today. I can't wait to sail again and neither can my family! This thread is huge so I didn't read back too far. Are there any specific plans that people have made already?

Ami

Welcome Home kaz & Samuel.....sounds like you had a fabulous time despite the flu....loved the photo with the Osbourne lights in the background...kaz...i swear we were separated at birth....i have that same Mickey sweatshirt....have fun with the inlaws;)

i love knowing a year from now we're all going to meet up & cruising together....i was trying to explain the whole Dis board Xmas eve & how i "KNOW" all of you even though only a few of us have actually met....but most people just don't get it:rolleyes1 - they don't understand how you're my friends when we haven't met

Tentatively, we have planned to do our own thing in Key West....shop in Grand Cayman (while DS & friend Rus do a diving excursion)...not sure about Cozumel yet.....& when we return on the 3rd - we're driving up to Orlando & spending 3 days at the parks as most of the holiday crowds will be on their way back home to work & school:banana:

well guys i thank you for everything youve done for me, theres no way to go to mthe cruies, mostly becouse of how we would get there and stuff, we are spending alot time in disney land tho in the next two years we have 4 trips planed and aps to buy in oct.
I hope you all have fun and I hope to go on cruise some time just not yet.

12/8/07

John (DH) and I celebrated our wedding anniversary yesterday. I took my prize out for sushi and he bought me chocolate covered strawberries. He also bought me a bottle of crown royal for me to take to Florida with me :woohoo:

I was up around 930, hung out with the family and puppies til almost 2. John wanted to treat Adrian (DS) and I to Tony Lukes but there was a Penn State game which means a really long line, so no cheesesteaks.

Adrian and I were dropped off at the gate by 230 and thru security in 15 minutes. I checked the bags outside...sooo much easier, actually worth the tip.

Adrian was hungry. We stopped at a sandwich stand and he got a vegan/vegetarian sandwich (hummus, soy cheese, eggplant and bean sprouts) and a vitamin water. I got a pepsi.

The boy and I had SW boarding numbers A24 and 25. I thought that was great until the airline steward said there were only 25 on our flight today  Everyone on the plane had their own row. We had a little turbulence and saw a nice sunset from the air. I listened to Harry Potter audio book and DS listened to his iPod. Adrian says he likes the lights at night better than the sunset, he said the sunset made him think of hellfire.

For the first time ever, the descent hurt! My decongestant must've totally worn off. I don't like it when myears hurt.

Adrian and I made the obligatory potty stop and then headed to the monorail. DS asked if we had to take it, that was an emphatic yes. Have you ever noticed how long of a walk that would be without that monorail ride?!? Adrian was remembering his first trip from when he was five. He said he thought he was one of those kids who thought he was at Disney once he rode the monorail.

There were so few people on our flight that our luggage was already out and we had to run and catch it before it went thru to come around again.

Next stop was Alamo. I did the check in at the kiosk. There's alotta steps but it did seem easy. With that done we headed outside to choose our car. Of course the compacts are as far away from the terminal as it could possibly be. There were PT cruisers in the compact lane! For $90 for the week, I'll take me a PT cruiser. After watching a girl with her eye on mine walk away, we chose the red one.

...next up...shooting for Universal we wind up dowtown :scratchin

Afternoon everyone! The in-laws are in situ and I'm hiding in the bedroom whilst they dominate the TV in the living room. I'm not joking - heaven help the person who tries to take the remote from my mother-in-law... :scared1:

Dick has taken the day off (it's his family after all) but seems to be spending the day shut in the conservatory on a 'conference call'!!! Yeah, WHATEVER... :rolleyes1 :furious:

Anyway, enough of all that! Are you guys looking forward to celebrating New Year's Eve?? Any plans?? We're entertaining the humourless aliens till January 1st so rest assured it'll be super-thrilling over here in London town... :sad2:

Aisling, how's Jesse doing?

So sorry to hear you are trapped with ailens. I completely understand. Last year we travelled to Jackson Hole, WY for Xmas and they arrived the day after. I lasted only 4 days and said, time to GO HOME!!!! We escaped and didn't have to celebrate with them. Just too hard sometimes. Fortunately we do not have a house that they (or anyone) would stay at for a period of time. So no fear of that here.

We are still trying to decide what to do on NYE, we have a party invite, but no plans for the kids....:confused3

Aisling was invaded by an alien as well,

she'll be back on when her Mom goes home...

Evening Magic Mateys

btw Mom, I cashed in your gift card today, you bought me new Mickey silverware (6 placesettings) at the Disney store. My MILs giftcard bought me a Christmas Mickey doll and a Captain Jack satin pillow :woohoo: and I bought John the Mickey head shaped wood cutting board (I broke his hitting him with it the other day  :lmao: )

morning MM's.......

oh Kaz...so sorry to hear you're being held captive!!! hope the aliens return to the mother ship soon!!! I'm very blessed to have a MIL to have a very quiet non-interfering MIL who only lives a few blocks away....she likes to come over - have dinner & then go right back home:confused3

no definite plans for us on NYE either....have a party invite but i think we'll have to pass...i think tomorrow night's Xmas celebration with DD & DBF & other friends will be more than enough celebrating....

Colleen....friend patti saw Sweeney Todd...said it was great...like a broadway play on the screen...she also said National Treasure was really good(they went to 4 movies in 4 days while her DD was home from Burbank)...and DS saw AVP2 the other night...he said it was good.....you know boys & their descriptive movie reviews;)

Thatsalottamovies ::yes::

John was also talking about the rocker real life spoof that just came out...I hope the crew doesn't pick that one~

hi there, not much happening here this weekend...we've been watching lost of movies here too. Went to National Treasure, the rest on DVD, I think I'm up to about 6 so far this holiday.....

Sweeney Todd looks awesome! :thumbsup2 A murderous Johnny Depp singing in Victorian London - does it get any better than this...? ;)

Had a fine old time at High School Musical on Ice this afternoon! Having not seen the movies, Sophie and I were treated to a fast-paced two-part plotline resume and now feel like fully paid up members of the Wildcats cheerleading team! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Oh yeah, our heads are most definitely in the game... ;)

Prior to the performance, we very much enjoyed a tapas and sangria-fest - yummy... :cloud9:

Aisling:

Where are you? I'm getting a bit worried....check in please, or I'm gonna call you...

Anyone heard from her in a while?

I know she has been invaded, but that's all the more reason to come jabber with us.

I miss you darling.....

One year from today, drinking rum & coca cola....or rum and anything, you know me tooooooo well.

Tiggie:

What's up on the job or school front? Any more news? or decissions? How is Cm working for ya?
