Kaz, I hope we can meet up your first day...

are you going to be able to get into your resort right away?

I've only been to a few of the restaurants you have ADR's at...loved CP, Boma was cool (we've had breakfast there) and I've hit WCC the last three times I've been down there ::yes::

Figured I'd make a fair few ADRs as the we are onsite and I'm thinking of adding the DDP to our ressie. I've actually only been to two of the restaurants - CP (but not for brekkie) and the Brown Derby (years ago) so I'm keen for us to try some new things... :goodvibes

We land in MCO at 5.10pm, Tigg - if there are no delays! We'll be heading straight for SSR to check-in and hopefully dump our bags. My only concern is that DS might be tired as it'll be around midnight UK time before we're free to do anything...

It's ok Kaz~
We'll talk further about this...
are there any restaurants at SSR?
I've never looked~

Ahhh...that's where the Turf club is!

If you are up to it I could work out a late dinner at SSR for my crew...maybe 8ish. If you are up to it, you two could join us, if not-we would understand and still get to see SSR~

I love Boma's....been there a couple of times for dinner only....it's always got something interesting!!!! Sounds like you have a great time planned for the two of you!

Chel told me over the wkend that they are trying to get us into the DVC at AK when we return from the cruise! That's my FAV place....& if / or more like WHEN i choose to buy DVC it'd be there!!! so hope that all works out!

That sounds an excellent idea, Tigg! :thumbsup2

Sophie and I visited AKL when we there in October and were very impressed! Which was fortunate as we both have AKV points... ;)

Good morning all,

Kaz, that's scary about Dick's company, but you seem to be positive about it, using your trip to keep you distracted! You know we all want things to work out well.

I haven't been much into Dising lately, which I never thought would ever happen, as the Dis is my distraction from the cares of everyday life. I've been busy with Jesse, trying to keep him on task with school and homework. He just seems so bored with school, but I'm partly to blame, as I've let him develop bad habits like playing his games before homework, and then he's too tired to get any work done, or so he claims. I was so much stricter with Chad, and I admit I'm a lot easier on Jesse as my baby, and it's backfired on me. He's doesn't take pressure as well as Chad does, becomes easily frustrated, so I tend to give in to him more. But times they are a-changin', and tough love is being called into play. He's such a good kid, never a problem, except for the doggone studies. I'd feel better if he just didn't understand the schoolwork, as it would be an easily solvable problem with a tutor, but it's motivation that's his weakness. Anyway, I've been having him sit at the kitchen table to do his work in the evening as I cook, and it's working. We discuss his lessons, he does his homework, and it gets done in a flash. So mama is relieved that all will be well, all is well.

I'm off to get my hair styled. I just can't get the hang of getting it as nice as the stylist does it, but I'll keep trying! I have to keep telling myself that the big round brush and blow dryer are my friends and not my enemies!:lmao:

Happy day to you all!

oh Aisling...i know EXACTLY what you're going thru....Ryan has a C & a D this past semester....a D!!!! the 1st ever in his life....and it's in math - his VERY best subject that he usually aces....so i think there is going to be some stricter rules in play out here as well...like no Guitar Hero....no XBOX period...& maybe NO CAR~

LOVE your brush & blow dryer....they will love you back!!! ;)

That was where we stayed our 1st trip to WDW & it was excellent!!! loved everything about it. Chel had a brochure & the planned expansion looks awesome!

Thanks, sweetie!

I know how that one goes! My middle son was more ...er, shall we say 'laid back' with his studies and things were a little shaky for a while. I did exactly what you're doing, Aisling - homework became a 'kitchen table with Mother' affair and things definitely improved...

OMG I'm just the same! My new 'do' requires a two-pronged blowdrying and ceramic straightener attack - believe me, I am not gifted... :sad2:

two words girls....

PONY TAIL

Man I'm so lazy!!!

The homework thing is a constant in my house too. Not for #2, but with my #1.

While she is smart as a whip, she is the best put it off until tomorrow person I've ever met.

She has a book report due once a month, she works on it on the last night!!!! Two months in a row. Last night I got really peeved and that's not a good thing for Miss Molly.

I'm trying to get her to create a personal to do list. She just isn't gifted in remembering what's going on in her life.

It's hard for me since I multi task in genius form. That has been the key to my consulting sucess.

Hair, not so much my thing :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

but a bit of good news tonight...

Sierra is off her ventilator. She is still getting oxygen but breathing on her own :goodvibes
