CustardTart, your upcoming trip sounds great. For the day that you are at the AK, they opened up the new Yak & Yeti restaurant Wednesday. My friend Sue ate lunch there and said she liked it... not sure if they are taking ADR's or not.. but wouldnt hurt to check. I know you said your ADR is really late that day.

Did anyone happen to catch on the travel channel last night the Disney Cruise Line special?? I have seen it before.. but enjoyed watching it again.

What is everyone's plans for this weekend??

My friend and I are having a shower for another friend on Saturday.. We have all of it planned out.. and I still have a few more details to attend to.

I cant sew either.. sorry.

DS' high school has their 'open house' for potential freshmen - so i'll be there with info on the annual "Salesian's Abroad" Italy trip for juniors....cleaning house on Sat. I was SUPPOSED to be back at DL this wkend - but Principal asked if i could be at the OH....

I can sew - but - I gave it up for lent one year & never did it again.

Okay...i'm really thinking that 'sewing' is a dying art...hobby...chore...what exactly was sewing? i know i only use my machine maybe 1x a year when DS needs some kind of outfit or costume that i can't buy...uggghhhh....i really don't like sewing anymore....but there was a time - i was very much domesticated....i could sew...bake...make jam...yep - those were the Iowa years!!!

Hi Magic Mateys,

As you can see I have changed my ID and avatar. I am no longer that blushing bride (and never was), as you can probably tell from my new avatar.

I am going to spend some time with my older son this weekend. He works nights so I am going to his house on Saturday to make him dinner before he goes to work and then do some house work for him while he is at work (maybe) and then make breakfast for him when he gets home Sunday morning. I thought this would be a nice treat for him.

I hope you all have great plans for Thanksgiving.

good luck girl...as DH & I reach our 20 yr anniversary...i've decided you have to get past 10 & then little by little each year life with one another "finally" starts to get comfortable....there's little to no arguments...no jealousy...

I've got my reading material for our upcoming trip...and am doing my mental packing list as I type this~I've got to call WDW Dining tomorrow and reserve our 8pm dinner with Kaz and son the 14th. Actually, I need to ask Rose how many will be joining us for dinner before I call. She will still have a sister and her niece in town with her and may already have other plans.

I've already got one request...my niece had gotten some sequined minnie ears on her last trip with mom, the dogs ate them. I promised to buy her another pair as long as she promised to keep em away from the puppies~
