Aisling, congrats on the new baby!

No fair weather exercising please, if they are out there, so should you be :)

I have thought about doing Tai Chi, got a book and video...I'd rather have the real thing...

The Lady of Leisure is chomping at the bit about what to do next...

I haven't heard back from the travel agency, they only train the beginning of each quarter and the next quarter begins in January. Brenda is supposed to be getting me some info on being a CM consultant (aren'cha Brenda?) Classes for my Bus Admin degree begin again in January too. I promised Disunc I would take one full week off, so on Sunday I will be checking the want ads to see what is out there...I kinda like the idea of going into Real Estate but have a feeling there's something better out there for me than that.

I am getting alot done around the house...today I am hoping to figure out how to transfer my video to the DVR. Friday I go back to the office to pick up the last of my checks.

I just can't get used to sitting still yet...I should just pick up my Walt Disney book and veg outside for awhile :scratchin

My sister's BIL just moved out to Huntington Beach CA. They are one block from the surf....I am soooooo jealous...and happy for them. Tim was too much of a California boy to live in Jersey anyway~

I updated my MySpace a bit more...added alot of photos and organized my photo albums on my page yesterday...

I also have the ideas laid out for our December trip to the world, my next step is to get exactly what days I want the tours to be on and get those tickets asap~

Besides running homework, what else do you do all day? Got any new hobbies? You said you're teaching catechism again, how many days a week do you do that?

I teach two days a week. The rest of my days are spent cooking, laundry (I do a load every day), working on refinishing my basement, shopping, driving around the city for relaxation, doing errands like dropping off and picking up Chad's suits from the cleaners, basic house cleaning, spending time with Casey. I have parquet floors throughout the whole house, so every piece of dust shows up, so I run the Swiffer over the floors every afternoon. I really do have a lot of time to myself, even with the housework. I absolutely love not being on a schedule, like being at work at a certain time everyday. It's just not for me.

A few years ago, I made some pretty decent pocket money writing for a few newspapers and women's trashy magazines. I'm happy to say I've never received a rejection for any submission, so that gives me a good deal of confidence to get back into it. I was on staff at a newspaper that is now defunct, so it'll be strictly freelancing until someone hopefully picks me up. So for now, that'll be my hobby until I start making money. That's if I can get my self back into the groove.

Tig, you should look into selling your photographs to local papers. I was getting $50/photo in addition to the fee for the accompanying article, and my photos sucked compared to yours!

I know as time goes on I will fill my days quite easily...

I waxed one car and washed the other today, I cleaned up my dining room and dusted summor, tomorrow I will go to the flea market in the morning and possibly fix my dining table in the afternoon...as well as do summor laundry

I really want to find a way to use my photography to make money...

For now, my first step is to become a CM consultant~

I think I could do well by combining this with my photographic knack...

Brenda, how much of CM do you represent? Do you do scrapping, digital and the framing???

yes, that's the only question I have for you for now.

That's easy one....i carry all the supplies for traditional scrapbooking & will continue to do so, but i am going to be really working alot with the whole digital process myself & will really be promoting that as well. It's still very new, but i'll be teaching a whole class on that next month at the Carmel event. I don't carry any of the framing - and have no plans too.....Its a LOT of stuff (samples & stuff needed for proper measurements)....but i have two local 'sister' consultants that i can refer clients too if they want some framing done. We are really good that way....
Can't wait to get you signed on & working. First thing....get a few of your friends / family to have a show for you - set some tentative dates & then as soon as you sign on & get your kit = there is a step by step DVD on how to "do" the show(s)....& my cell is on 24/7

Cool, thanx Brenda.

I am going to dive right in with both the scrapbooking and the digital packages. I will send my paperwork in tomorrow. I gotta get the money rolling soon if this is to work for me.

I never shouldve waxed the geo yesterday, both my hands are swollen today from it.

No flea market for me, it was raining here first thing this morning. I need to go out for awhile, I am going stir crazy after being home all week.

I've been lurking and I wanted to let you all know that you are awesome women! I love reading how you are all doing and what you are doing. I can't wait for Kaz to get back so that she can continue with her Trip Report. She is such a great writer and so funny.

I'm doing well, but I'm still in that space where I feel only negative comes out of what I'm thinking and feeling. I know that people don't always see or hear this but that's how I feel. This too will pass and I hope to be my old self soon.

I hope you all have a great weekend,
Debbie

Hi Debbie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please try to post more often, so what if you sound negative and need to vent!
Doing anything special this weekend? I wish you could hop on a plane and come for a visit, OMG we'd get into trouble! :cool1: :rotfl:

My hands are better thank you. I use Philly when I need an airport. Let me know if you are serious Brenda.

Nice to see you Debbie! Think happy thoughts lady! No matter how negative things feel around you, find a happy thought and hold onto it. As you smile to yourself, think of us. Think about holidays, think about Disney, think about the kids and smile.

It works for me...

Oh yeah, and go shopping! Besides disney, That's my other form of therapy. My Rule is, you have to buy at least one thing for yourself.

Hubby and me are in Lancaster today, amish country.

Happy Saturday!

Tiggie, I just noticed this! Wow, I'm so glad your hands are better!

John made Ham and cabbage for tonight and a roast for tomorrow today.

He's the Best!

I went shopping, got some AWESOME deals!

After I dropped Britt off at work I went to the next mall to go to the Disney store. I parked over by JC Penney. The first thing I saw when I walked in was a Christmas Clearance display with Disney stuff right out front! I got a light up Disney train lawn ornament and a Toy train and tracks for under my christmas tree for $60 bucks! They woulda cost $200 at full retail! They were 50% off with a coupon discount for another 20%. My kinda sale.

After I bought those and took em out to the car, too big to carry, I went back in to again, go to the Disney store.

I was walking by Old Navy and saw all kinds of clearance racks...so I went in. I got me two blouses and a pair of jeans for $60. Yay!

I finally made it to the Disney store. There are alot more adult offerings in there now, even some stuff from the home collection was in the store! None of it on clearance yet so I passed that over for now.

I did get some kitchen hand towels off the clearance rack! Four towels for about $10 total. I also prepurchased Ratatouille. That comes out on Nov 6th. I got a free litho and a 15% coupon off my next purchase as bonuses for that.

all in all, another good day.

I hope all of yours were just as good~

TTFN.

Good morning,

Tiggie, shopping is good for the soul!!!!!!!:lmao: You done good with your bargains!

I'm wondering if the Santa Clarita freeway crash has affected our Cali friends. It looks horrible on the news, but now it's saying the freeway has reopened for traffic. Nan, Debbie, Brenda, do you travel on that freeway??

Oh Aisling....thank you for thinking of us...we should only be on that highway, if we're traveling to Disneyland or so.calif by car...so hopefully Nan & Debbie were home this wkend too.....what a mess though huh?

We will be taking that route in a few wks when we go down to DL on our way to Palm Springs. Decided to drive down & fly back...Rented a car to drive so we'd have one to get around PS...don't mind driving down (since DH is doing the driving), but the drive back from Palm Springs is WAY TOO LONG!!! hopefully weather will be great that wkend, and no accidents!

Hope everyone is having a great monday!!!!

Nope, we stayed home this weekend. Well camped on the coast one night.

As Brenda said that is a Southern Ca freeway, we wouldn't be near it unless we were headed to Dland. Sad to think that any of us could have been there.

Tiggie was on this part of the freeway I think, no sure, when did you cross over to I-5 on your trip?

Thanks for thinking of us California Friends.

Back to the Monday morning grind.

BTW, my client released there product this weekend at a tradeshow, so I can share what I've been up to for the last few months....

Good Morning All,

I did go down to Los Angeles this last weekend but luckly we got to LA 2 hours before the crash. I went down for a funeral and unfortunatly it was delayed because family, comming from Fresno, had to be re-routed. We came back on Saturday after the funeral but the way we had to go wasn't anylonger. We did drive by the opening of the tunnel and it looked horrible.

Thank you all for your good thoughts and I will do my best to post more.

I sure could use a Disneyland fix!

OMG.....i CANNOT believe it...where do you think your client is getting their strawberries????????????????????????????????????????????????

What a darn small world!!!!!

:rolleyes1 I can find out, I pay the bills ya know.

:confused3 why are you asking, are you in the strawberry business? Sorry if I missed that.

It's really cool to have a client that actually has something that other people can relate to. For years I've listed my techno famous clients to people and they smile and nod. Now I can say have a drink :yay:

Debbie, so scary that you were down there. glad you are home safe.
