We're back.....

:welcome: home, Nan!!!

Glad you had a great time! :thumbsup2 Look forward to hearing more and seeing photos... :goodvibes

It's Monday morning here in sunny London (no, it really is sunny - blue skies and everything!) and I'm enjoying a coffee before going to the gym for a last session with my personal trainer for 4 weeks! Feeling a little stiff after sitting in the car for several hours yesterday as we made a round trip to Birmingham (central England) to see the in-laws... Really gotta get my act together later and take DS14 shopping for clothes as he appears to have grown out of everything and we fly tomorrow...

So what do you guys think about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter due to open at US Orlando in 2009???? I can't lie - I'm beyond excited which probably isn't a good thing but what's a girl to do?! We were planning a big 3 week family trip to Florida in '09 but thinking we'll postpone to 2010 now to make sure the new "world" is up and running... Wonder if WDW will do anything to compete - OMG it's just so exciting!!! OK I need to breathe and iron a gym top so... laters! :thumbsup2

Count us in....we will be sailing with you all in December 2008. I am going to be booking the trip while on board next month in the Med. This will be a surprise trip for my husband. We have did many NYE at a 5 star hotel and he really wanted to do a hotel again, but I was sneaky and checked the pricing and then looked at the cruise. Soooooooooo I decided it would be a cruise instead. Our DD 13 (will be 15 then) birthday happens when we return from the Med, she knows about the trip and is excited because it will be her first real NYE celebrating in style. I hope to bring a friend of hers along as a surprise to DD. Please send Lots of Pixie Dust my way to keep this all under wraps and a big surprise.

Me- 41 (really 38 I am starting to count backwards)
DH - 42
DD - 13 (will be 15)

I find it's such an addiction, Brenda - for us, the trips just get longer and/or more frequent. But that's why DVC seemed such a great option - effectively we pre-paid for our future WDW vacations! Of course, that's a separate addiction in it's own right - don't tell DH but I'm currently lusting after the heavily-rumoured Contemporary DVC... :rolleyes1
...BTW - i iron everything....but never a gym top.....your trainer must be a cutie!! JK!!!:rotfl: :lmao:

You're right, she's a sweetheart! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: TBH I don't normally iron gym stuff but the top was so creased, I felt/looked really bad! ;)

Thanks for welcoming me and my crew. I look forward to getting to know you all over the next months. I started reading this thread and at over 90 pages I gave up on pg 25 and said I will have to read them later.

Great to be part of a fun group.

Thanks for the HP Orlando info. Molly will be most pleased. I guess that means we might have to bump Tokyo for Orlando...hmmm...that might be a hard one, stay tuned.

Off to the pool with the kids now, see ya later tonight.

Nan

We're going to Disneyland! :dancer:

So sorry Tig!

I finally got my comp time, so we'll be going July 28th - August 1st. Staying at the GC. The Best Western was full. Just happened to find availability at GC through getawaytoday.com.

Who wants a corn dog?

i would DEFinitely invest in DVC if DH weren't so non-Disney....arrgghhh....and oh my - my trainer was a guy....so of course i just assume everyone's is! :guilty:

Hi Cinderella, and welcome to the group!
Tons of pixie dust being sent your way to keep the surprise intact. I added your info to the cruise list on page 1.
My youngest son will be 16 when we cruise, and as Brenda (bstsuda) said, we have a nice bunch of teens among us. My kids can hardly wait for the cruise; we had such a fantastic time on the Christmas 05 Magic. Thank goodness we have a Universal trip planned for this Christmas. When that's over, the one year countdown begins!

Grim, that's great news about DL. I can't wait to see pictures of Piper meeting Mickey for the first time.

Karen, I've been looking into DVC, and am also hoping for the Contemporary. It's almost a given that if they build at the Contemporary, I'm going to just do it and buy before I have a chance to realize how expensive it'll probably be. It'll be worth it, though, especially now that Chad (with Louise) has made his first WDW trip on his own. That means, between family trips and his trips, we'd use it at least twice a year. I've been lurking at the DVC boards, trying to figure it all out, and I'm almost there!

I give you work-out girls so much credit. :cheer2:

hehe dvc is looking better and better to me. i cant wait till i can call and say im readyyy i have the 800+350 finacing) thats the first part of the down

I cant wait to meet you all next year we are gona have a blast. i will be married by then *smiles* i just sent my ID by email so i can get my sons birth certifcate. i needed it befor i ask to sign pappers with my ex..just in case..tho hes a good dad and dose what he can for his son. and would never say he isnt his.

My fionce and his parents have licnces to marry us and his moms in photos. and we will make a cake and I will buy a wedding minni thing at disney land for my hair. in nov. so next year when we marry ill wear it..lol to add the disney touch (so much better then 10-20k at disney land or world..lol im not spending more then 500 maybe 1000 if i get the dress i wanted..but also im more in to the cruise and saveing for it..that i will probley just be ok with a nice dress i find some where not more then 50dollers.. wow im such a cheap scate

but also im more in to the cruise and saveing for it..that i will probley just be ok with a nice dress i find some where not more then 50dollers.. wow im such a cheap scate

Jade, you're not a cheapskate:rotfl: ! You're a smart girl. I had a very expensive wedding, and now that I look back, I cringe at all the money we, and our families, spent. It was outrageous, and even though it was beautiful, it could have still been beautiful for $$$$$$ less!

hehe well also i wouldnt be doing the cruise if i wanted my nice winter get away..I hate this heat, i so want to get married in real snow but its not likely to happine so when i gave up on that i look out side at the yard and think "well the 10-20ppl that might come could fit out there if i relly wanted it to.. My wedding in mi was a guardin wedding it was so nice my exs mom did up her yard and we made a path it was nice and still cheap. I dont regret it but if i woulda thought more about things i would see i was getting married for my son..and for the idea of a family. (me and my ex had a huge fight that day..and almost close to calling it off but we didnt..)
I can tell with stephen that i want to marry him, we dont fight much. not nearly as much as my ex and me. I fill something inside of me that just tells me he is a grate man. he has lived and had his party time i am 11 years younger then him, but he is much more mutre and took over the father role verry well. He isnt what i woulda ever saw me being with but he makes me fill so good and understands my fits, witch ive had many less then ever with my ex.

I think in the last 3 years i have grown so much, ive relized what love and the idea of love relly is.

Wow didnt mean to make it so long hehe but ya i guess im good with money yet ppl see me doing trips to disney and think im insaine lol and they dont even know about the cruise lol (well not true rt told them..lol he said were gona go on the disney boat wee) and ran thought the house

Ciao for now.:)
