New Years Day

Does anyone know how packed the Magic Kindom is on New Years day? Should we try another park instead? Has anyone been to DW on the 1st?

I, personally, would choose another park. With the 1st on a Thursday this year (thereby creating a long weekend for lots of people), my bet is that the place will be packed! If you do decide to go to MK, get there early.

NYE day is the real problem. I was there last year and went to MGM until 4pm then to Epcot and had no trouble either park. MK was closed to non-reosrt guests by 10:30am and to everyone shortly after that. We will be there this year and are having dinner NYE at MGM. New Year's day was very quiet at MK in the am until I left around 11:30am. Epcot was quite manageable also. Most folks are recouperating from previous night. We hit ESPN club in pm for some college football! Plan to do that again also.

I have been to MGM, Epcot, and MK for New Year's, and to be brutally honest, MK is the worst park to go too. Exiting is a nightmare, crowds are unbelievable, and the CM's do very little there to help with crowd control.
Our best New Year's eve there was at MGM.
