New Year Eve Hayride...Anyone!!

For anyone at the Fort right now.....

Have you seen any advertisement for the 11:30pm hayride on NYE??? They've always had one in years past, but when I called the front desk they knew nothing about it. Not surprising, huh?

So....has anyone seen anything about it?

Deb, did you want to go on it or your just curious it they still have it?
I can check latter today when we check in to see if they are haveing it and if you pm me with your phone # call you.
I am not sure when we are checking in, I am leaving work early, but Richie is never ready on time.

Just checked with concierge no 11:30 hayride tonight. I am just going to drive gc to the beach. Heck with dis 5-0. If no hayride then they shouldn say anything to us. Heck they could make alot of money tonight.

At first I too thought they were being cheap. But they actually let everyone park gc's on the grass by the marina and watch from the beach. Better than the hayride and didn't cost a dime

Well now.....THAT's a first!!! I'm gonna guess it's because Mean Gene retired - cause Gene used to chase GC's away from the beach on NYE.

I personally didn't care about the hayride. But because our dearest, life-long friends wanted to go to WDW for NYE, I thought the hayride would be a nice way for them to see a little of the Fort & the NYE MK fireworks.

We shuffled our way around Epcot all day yesterday (never again - not for anybody) and ended up leaving around 8:30pm because none of us old farts could stand the crowds anymore. We ended up going to Winn Dixie & ABC Liquors & getting supplies, going back to their suite at Carribe Royal, and ringing in the New Years in the peace & quiet & comfort of their sitting room.

Surprisingly - the traffic on I-4 westbound at around 12:45a was very light.
