So who’s going? I want a full report.

ETA article info:
A new VIP tour called “World of Dreams” is being offered at Walt Disney World. The tour costs $12,000 for up to six guests and is 12 hours long. Two tour guides will conduct each tour.

I’m sure you’re asking what could possibly be included on a tour so expensive. Well, the answer is pretty much whatever you want, for the most part. Here’s a breakdown:

  • Backstage access and transportation
  • Front of the line attraction access
  • A tour of the Cinderella Castle Dream Suite
  • Exclusive nighttime spectacular viewing spaces
  • All meals included (3 a day, with select “alcohol”)
  • Access to any restaurant at Walt Disney World (no normal reservations needed)
  • and many more possibilities based on guest request
If you do the tour for one day at $12,000, each additional day is *only* $10,000. The “World of Dreams” tour is available to book now, but requires booking a week in advance to set up all of the more special opportunities.

Just saw this on Twitter. Funny timing because my DH and I just said yesterday there should be a tour to see the suite.

Let's see if I can convince him to do that one! I am guessing that will be a no.

Looks like it's for celebrities and they can easily afford that.

I forgot- but didn't Tom Cruise write a very large check to charity in order for he and his daughter to stay there years ago?

Hmm. Will they come pick me up at All Star Movies?

Honestly, the per hour charge of VIP tours at peak season would put them at about $9000 for a 12 hour day without the backstage access. So I guess someone will do this.

But here’s my problem (besides the money): I cant do 12 hours at Disney without a nap anymore :)

maybe you could nap in the suite?

I assume if you wanted to eat at Victoria & Albert's at $250/head, you'd be able to get in there for "free." That's $1,500 right there.

I was seriously considering it, until I saw that you don't get to spend the night in the castle.

I'm not sure I understand this tour... compared to a VIP tour you pay 3-4 times more for:

(a) two guides - no need for two guides and 6 people max
(b) front of the line access (vs FP access for VIP tour) - ok, this is nice, but still not worth it
(c) meals included - worth what, $200-300/person if you go all out (but then park time is limited by meals)
(d) get to view the castle suite - I suppose this justifies the price? To see it?

Everything else (access to any restaurant, fireworks viewing, etc) you already get with a VIP tour.

But I would pay $12K for a night in Cinderella's castle plus the 12 hour tour.

12 * $650 = $7,800. So they are not that close in price. But I know what you mean. And yes, people will do this...

I think for that price a night in Cinderella's Castle should be included. If I win the lottery maybe I'll do this one day.

This tour allows you to do basically whatever you want within reason. You could have your own Jungle Cruise boat, go backstage and feed animals at AK, etc.

You think so?

They don't place hard and fast restrictions on VIP tours either, but the guides ask and can (and often are) be told no by managers, even for "reasonable" requests. Obviously this is the next tier, but I'm skeptical about what they would allow. And I wonder if like VIP tours, they won't explicitly tell you upfront what can or cannot be done...

Is signature services running this? I almost want to call them and ask...
