NEW!! *WISH Team Challenge Spreadsheet*

Greetings WISHers!!

I have made some changes to the spreadsheet at WWDave's request and everything should be working just fine now.

I have changed up the format a bit, but haven't reinvented the wheel. You'll find a new, cleaner overall summary page at the beginning...and each MONTH is divided up into separate pages. This should make for a cleaner entry system for all captains.

I have invited everyone who was a collaborator on the old sheet to be a collaborator on the new one. If there is anyone else I need to add, just PM me with the information.

PLEASE let me know if you'd like to see any changes, I'm more than willing to make this thing as user friendly as possible....ALSO...I would like to be the one to add/subtract users as we see fit. If the captains could contact me with new names, or folks to take off the list, that would be the easiest process so that everything stays intact. There are spaces in each team to add folks if you do choose to do so on your own.

Also...I've left the old one in place just so we can make sure all data from this week gets entered into the new one. I did an export of the old sheet early this morning (around 8am), all of that data should be in the new sheet...but if anyone made entries from 8am on, we'll have to re-enter it on the new sheet.

Hope I didn't confuse everyone with that!

I'm headed for a bike ride soon, but will be around most of the day to resolve issues/make changes as necessary :

One more thing

The contest is weekly, but in order to maintain accurate monthly reporting numbers, the last week of each month may contain extra days (to get it to the true end of the month). Each new month starts on the 1st. Hope this doesn't mess anyone up, but it was the easiest way to satisfy accurate monthly stats.

The way we have been reporting our numbers is from Friday to Thursday. It looks like for the End of the month you have it from the 22nd through the 30th which would put us through till a Wednesday. I'm afraid that if I ask people to change their way of reporting the numbers I may confuse them. Any thoughts?

The old spreadsheet had the last 4-5 days in April falling into May and so on to keep it from Friday to Thursday.

Hi Chris!

When this was originally addressed, with many teams reporting numbers for different week periods, it was the consensus that everything "comes out in the wash" and teams could report whatever way works best for them.

I only modified it so that we could get an accurate representation of monthly totals. Every team does things so differently that I think it ultimately doesn't matter.

But with that said...I'd be glad to modify anything that the teams feel necessary : I whipped up the sheet as fast as possible without much input from others, so anything that we need to do to make it user friendly is certainly justified.

Anyone else have thoughts?

Thanks for the quick response. Our team in the past was just worried about people thinking we were sandbagging by not reporting all our numbers in a certain month. I'm cool with the spreadsheet as is as long as no one jumps us for continuing our numbers from the Friday to Thursday.

That was my thought too about it coming out in the wash, but I wanted to make sure I didn't miss a meeting or something about the way we were reporting numbers.
