Hi All.....

Lou-Ann.....Bears Den, I'm hoping you mean the Cubs den???, if that is correct, there are a few rooms with king size beds and they are on the first floor near the Cubs Den...They are Handicapped accessible rooms though and have a roll in shower with no bathtub.......

Disney Humbug.....First I have to ask about your name, i'm not feeling warm and fuzzy......You can request a wheel chair prior to arrival and i would suggest calling....if one is not available, I have seen cast members call other resorts on property to obtain one..We do our best to accommodate EVERYONE.....If you want to rent one on your own, there is a company that Disney deals with and is quite reasonable, ask when you call if that is the way you want to go......

Thank you so very much for the prompt reply, Ask Mickey. Perhaps I did not use the correct term when I said Bear's den. I was referring to the area that looks directly out to the pool, lake, and geyser across the center section of the "u". does that make any sense? if i am correct, the first floor would not apply here as it would be the lobby for the first 3 floors or so. Am I correct? We have had a lovely room in this section twice before but had 2 queen beds. There will be only tow of us and i wondered if there were king rooms in that area as well. My hubby loves to look out at the geyser and i love the lake view. Perhaps the area is the bear's face? Thanks so much for the input. It is so nice of you to assist us here and is greatly appreciated.

Lou-Ann, I believe what you are trying to say is "bear's Face". When you get to the lodge stand out at the end near the geyser and look back at night when it is all lit up you can see why it is called that! We stayed on the bear's face but it was 2 beds, not a king so I can't answer your question. When you fax your request however I was told it is better to say "inner courtyard, lobby view" as bear's face seems to be more a term we use on the DIS then the cm's do at the wl.

askmickey or anyone that can help,

I have a courtyard view room reserved. My son (20) and I were looking at the Christmas pictures of the resort and thought it would be nice to have a room overlooking the lobby, if possible. Are there courtyard view rooms that over look the lobby? If so what would be the best floors to request, 4th and 5th? Are these non smoking, do they have the regular balconies?

That is the office that deals with special needs requests (like wheelchairs, shower chairs, etc.). Many DIS posters have written that they were told that wheelchairs can't be reserved ahead of time at the resorts. Others have gotten wheelchairs that did not suit their needs - like all that was available was an extra-wide wheelchair when they needed a regular one, or vise versa.

Just FYI for all of you wanting a room that overlooks the Lobby. My DH and I celebrated our Honeymoon at WL and were on the 7th floor overlooking the lobby. We liked it, but had one huge complaint. It was very noisy. Everything that happened in the lobby you can hear in your room. Everything that goes on in Whispering Canyon Cafe and the lobby in general has an echo effect at the WL. Now, being able to walk out of your room and see the tree is nice, but we didn't get to bed till about 12 every night because of the noise and we were woken up at around 5 am when you could hear kids in the lobby running around and yelling.
Just want to throw my 2 cents in about that.

I figured the lobby-view rooms would be much noisier - but, we will only be there for 2 nights. I thought having a lobby-view room overlooking the Christmas Tree would be a nice end to our trip! It's a surprise for my hubby that we're even staying at the Lodge.

thank you for your reply, I thought maybe if we were up higher it would be less noisy...I may have to think about this a bit more.
We will be there 5 nights and I am a light sleeper, maybe we will just stick to a regular courtyard view.

I was just there last week and it is definitely loud in the lobby. We were the flag family on Thanksgiving day and as we were on the concierge floor walking up to the roof, we could hear the noise just as well as we could from the lower floors. My DH wanted to go and read in one of the lobby or one of the nooks that overlook the lobby and he said it was definitely loud with running and crying children even at 11:00 PM at night. We had room 4057 (inner courtyard, two queens) and we loved it since it was away from the lobby, but still we were woken up and kept up nightly by our "neighbor's" children playing tag all hours of the day. My 14 yo DS finally asked them to stop playing at 10:30 PM one night since we couldn't get to sleep with all the yelling and door slamming. The lobby is beautiful, but I'd much rather have a room away from it because of all the noise.

Well it is almost here I cannot believe it is almost time to go back home. I cannot believe I have less then a week. Just a quick question for me and another poster who messaged me. 1st I check in on Sat what day should I fax my request and to what # (I know it is on here but 116 pages UGH) and this is for the other poster.(and me). What honeymoon rooms face the MK. I know there are only 4 and I know I am supposed to be a WL VET but even we need a little help also.

We checked in on a Friday and I faxed my request on the previous Monday. I hope you have a wonderful time. One of the great things about WL is everytime we stopped at the guard booth and they saw our WL parking permit, the guard would say, "Welcome home, sir" to my DH and we both commented on how warm and fuzzy that made us feel inside.

We stayed in 7085- That faced the Magic Kingdom- It was a nice room, but very noisy. We could hear everything from the lobby below. Apparently that is the way it is for all Honeymoon rooms in the concierge level (there are only 4 of them and they all open up into the lobby.) It was nice to be able to watch the fireworks though.

I have been reading conflicting information about faxing in your room requests when you have already told CRO what you want. Does anyone have any advice? We check in this Sunday!!! I am just trying to get everything prepared. AskMickey - do you know the answer to this?

Hi Jeremy,
The Wilderness Lodge fax # is 407-824-3232. I had my fax all ready but then didn't end up sending it . We didn't really have any special requests, so I'm sure we'll be happy with whatever we're assigned.

I'm up and trying to think of any last-minute things I could have possibly missed. Watching the Weather Channel too, and hoping our connecting flight in Baltimore isn't affected by the ice storm forecast! We leave for the drive to Buffalo in three hours!!! Yippeeeee!!!!!

Have a safe trip down, and a FANTASTIC time in WDW... I'll keep an eye out for that LGR!
