Wenlitz, I am sorry you had such bad mousekeeping service. Our room was impeccable, sheets changed daily and whenever we called for a requerst, it came quickly. The only problem we had was one day we returned to the room around 2 for a rest and it was not cleaned yet. We had to wait til after 4 to nap in there.
I would make a complaint to the Lodge if I were you. I think they need to know about bad service.

gibbys1,

It sounds like we'll be there at the same time! :D We'll be staying at WL from Dec 18-24. We also have a standard room reservation, maybe we'll be neighbors!

999ghsts - would it be too much to request a "true king" since we have guaranteed non-smoking?

oh....one more question for you....what is your opinion of how booked up Oct 5-12th week is???? is it the CBR overflow or conventions?

sure hoping for a low crowds.....;) ;)

thanks for your help it is very nice of you to take time to answer everyone's questions.:) :) :) :) :) :)

I have invited two of my sisters to join me at the WL next weekend for a special "girls only" trip. I will be driving my vehicle, and they will be arriving after me in their vehicle. Will it be a problem getting two vehicles in? Will I be given parking passes for both vehicles?

999ghsts

Since you are the "room expert" and a wealth of knowledge on this board, I need to ask your opinon. I had originally booked a woodsview room with the intentions of requesting a north side room to be able to see the fireworks from our room during our trip coming up in October. I just received the operating hours at the parks and noticed that the only time they have fireworks during our stay from 10/2 - 10/11 will be on the Saturday night, when we already have reservations to the Hoop De Doo. Would you recommend changing to a courtyard view?? Or do you still believe the North side overlooking the otter pond is the best place to be....

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Want to keep this on the front page, so I'll ask this question of 999shts.

We have a "courtyard view" Does that mean we will be looking towards the pool area? (Pool, hot tub, waterfall area)

Thanks

:)

Thank you 999ghsts!

You have calmed the fears of a neurotic mother!

Our experience at WL in November '99 was so wonderful, I just didn't feel the need to "push our requests" for this November. While we absolutely loved the otter pond (one morning I was literally pushing my family out the door, saying 'We have to get to the bus stop' while they were ogling the otters cavorting in the pond!)

We chose WL for its size (no villas/ they were under construction at the time) and restful atmosphere. We were just soooooo pleased with our accomodations that my DH acquiesed to another WDW trip after saying he was only game for one trip in a lifetime.

YOU are the reason so many people love the Disney experience. Thank you for your personal responses to all our inquiries.

Hey Disney-Kim,
Happy to see another "Zonie" getting away from our "Dry Heat" to have some fun with Mickey.

Can anyone tell me whether or not you can reuse previously purchased refillable mugs at WL? I have seen different points of view on this. Thanks in advance from a loyal lurker getting ready for first trip to the "world"!!

I love reading this thread...and all the info about WL! I just wanted to say HI to Kimmar...and let you know I thought of you this eve. The bus had to drive to WL to drop off some guests before going to the Dolphin. I smiled as we pulled in, and said "Hi Kimmar!"(LOL) It's SUCH a spectacular resort...DH said we MUST stay there again.;) Hope your summer is STILL fun...with all your memories of WDW & WL to keep you in the MAGIC!:) TTFN....moi.:sunny:

Thanks for the reply 999ghsts!!! That is a total relief to me and DH . ;)

Just sending good wishes to you and your family. Hope all will be well.

999ghsts, Sending you prayers and PD! Thanks for all you do!

...999, best wishes to you and your family; you'll certainly be missed while you are gone (hurry back:wave: !)

Welcome aboard, AspiringCindy!!:p Make sure you post with your opinions and experiences from time to time....

Wenlitz, I am so sorry to hear that your "mousekeeping services" were not "up to par":( ! I agree with lucki4; you should have brought this to the attention of the front desk or Mousekeeping. Our mousekeeper, Pauline, was delightful! She kept the room spotless! (I purposely "hid" some trash in various areas of our room, and to my delight, they were gone upon our return....no animal sculptures, though:rolleyes: )

dreamflight99 - thanks for stopping by...I know you must really be enjoying your LONNNNGGGG visit to WDW (don't forget: if you can, definitely try to make it to FishBones ~~ it's FABULOUS!)

Mom2DS ~ I'd have to say bring your mugs with you to WL. They are still the same ones. I know there is alot of controversy regarding the whole "mug issue". To date, there aren't any "bar codes" on the new ones. The only time a sticker was put on our mugs was when we went to Blizzard Beach for the day. For $5, you can bring ANY resort mug and get unlimited refills....

LoveMickey - with a "courtyard view", you will get a number of different views. However, depending upon your particular location, you could be "even" with the pool, or the waterfalls, or the brook. But all of these things (including the lake) can be seen by pretty much ALL the inner court balconies.:)

999ghsts, Thank you once again for the info! I, too, hope that all is well with your family. My best to you!

Thanks KIMMAR, I really appreciate the input.

999ghsts - Hope your problems are small ones!

999ghsts

Thank you so much for your help. I hope all is well with your family. Look forward to reading your posts again when you return.

999ghts - good luck to you and I too hope all is well. thank you for all your help, I lurk a lot here and have received great info.

kimmar067 - Thank you also for starting this, from me the lurker. My question about the courtyard view, I think I was trying to ensure that the room would be facing the inside of the complex and not a woodsview (towards MK or towards the Villa's).

One time we faced Discovery Island and the boat dock, another time our room was facing the yet to be developed villas and once we faced the villa roofs. Loved all the views, but was just trying to clarify what the courtyard view meant.

Thanks to all and keep the Magic.

:)

Hope all goes well!! Maybe we'll run into you when you return:)

Just a question to anyone who has stayed at WL recently...it's been a while so I know this changes from time to time. When you go through the MK parking plaza do you have to pay & get reimbursed for parking or do you show them your reservation? I know once we checkin we show our resort card when we go back and forth...what's the latest. We've experienced both scenerios in the past, thanks.
