NEW Wave Menu?

And who knew you could take organic vodka and make it into a healthy morning start...:rotfl2:

We have the Wave booked for July 5th, think it sounds great for a cool lunch during HOT park days. Can't wait to try the lettuce wraps, crab cakes etc...

Being from KS, never expect much of FL steaks when one of the largest Black Angus farms is just down the road. :) We like to try new things, guess I can get plain and simple at Denny's. Will be sure and post after our trip!

i was keeping an open mind until the confirmed menu was out, and now it is, I can scratch it from my list. This will not cut it for my family.

Who'd have thought it would be so difficult in Disney to get a nice steak.:confused3

LC - regular filet gone, alternatives not good; CS - now the wave; Yachtsman - terrible experience.
Don't fancy steak with mac and cheese so no jiko, DD not quite ready for CG yet either.

How about Shula's? Try Yachtsman again - don't just on one experience? Flying Fish supposedly has a great steak. Artist Point could fit the bill. CG has served a quality steak in the past. Jiko will certainly sub out the mac and cheese for anything else you'd like as a side dish.

Just a few alternatives for a good steak on property.

As far as the Wave goes ==> I am actually happy to see something different on a menu and look forward to trying this place for all three meals. It looks like they are making an effort to put something healthy & interesting out there as an option. I think this is a good choice for the conscientious eater or perhaps someone who just wants to try something other than the standard offerings.

I had reservations there for our November trip, but I think I'm going to change them now. Lunch doesn't look too bad, although I hate to waste a TS credit on those prices. So, we'll probably just skip it. I had one too many TS on my list anyway. ;)

Antioxidant Cocktail, Organic Coffees, organic vodka, organic mango and passion fruit liqueur.

Reasons not to eat or drink here.

I have to disagree. It's exactly why I will be frequenting The Wave. Finally a place on property with genuine health options and organic/local/sustainable foods. It'll be nice to know my vegetables haven't traveled as far as I have to get to Disney in some cases. I'm happy that WDW will be supporting these farming methods and in turn will be supporting The Wave.
It's not a place for everyone, but for those that want to try something new or are use to eating this way it's nice to have the option rather than hoofing it over to Fresh at the Dolphin for a non-artery clogging breakfast.
I'm not sure what the OP's problems are with the aforementioned organic beverages but I for one prefer products grown without the use of pesticides and knowing that the people that grew it made a fair wage.

I can't wait to try it! We've got an ADR for breakfast in early August, and I'm probably going to add a lunch in there somewhere too. It's wonderful that Disney is being more creative. I find these boards funny because first, lots of people complain that all the food is the same at Disney restaurants. Then, when a new restaurant takes a different direction, lots of people complain that it's too "weird" or that somehow its organic ingredients are somehow bad.

:confused3
