Well after waiting almost 3 weeks, and taking the whole day off for delivery today...my new Washer/Drier has just been delivered and installed all in under 15 minuets :cheer2: :cheer2:

I didnt realise how much I missed my old one until it broke and flooded my kitchen a few weeks back, and its been costing me a fortune at the launderette.

Right now I have to decide what to do with the rest of my day.....guess first I could put some washing on :rotfl:

After you have done some dising :thumbsup2

Its great when you get a new appliance, it makes doing the washing more exciting the 1st couple of times you use the new machine!
my fridge freezer is on its way out.. the freezer part has completely packed up and the fridge isnt holding its temperature, trying to now persuade dh that we do need one of those american fridge/freezers :teeth:

Same here ,hopefully it will hold out a bit longer
don't know if I have the room for a big one
but they look great

After having to replace oven , hob drier washingmachine, dishwasher, 2 kettles and a toaster last year, this was just after we got a new telly

Will I ever get to save for WDW

:woohoo: Enjoy your day off work :woohoo:

Do something nice for your self , not just the washing

Lucky you. Our washer sort of exploded last week and we had a new one delivered on Friday. We paid for installation but the guy arrived and gave us some story that because there's a plug socket directly behind it they weren't insured to install it. I asked them to unpack it but they just took the polystyrene and plastic off, didn't bother to take the carrying bar of the back or fit the base to it! So that meant we were forced to B&Q on Sat to buy wrenches and then had to spend our afternoon doing their job. When we phoned Currys and the delivery company they claimed there is no such rule about plug sockets!!! We're very annoyed!

Sorry I don't know how to do quotes properly
We have got one of the American style fridge/freezer but only after I designed it in with the new kitchen for our extension. :rotfl2: they can be a real pain to get into the house and hotpoint actually came and did a site appraisal before they would deliver to us.
Apparentally to go through an external door which is normally 33Ins. wide they remove the handles and to go through an internal door normally 23Ins. wide they have to completely remove the doors!

they do have a really flash bit of kit for going up and down stairs. :thumbsup2

We've got an American Fridge/Freezer and we too had a site survey prior to delivery. They DID take the whole doors off to get it through our back door. It's a real monster, but the chilled filtered water and ice dispensers are fab.
