New Twilight Thread: Forks or La Push? Hmmmmmm....

Did anyone else hear that Jacob Black is going to be replaced in New Moon?
He might not be. I saw an interview with Taylor Lautner today where he said he is going to meet with the new director tomorrow to convince him that he deserves to keep the part. He said he has put on almost 20 pounds of muscle to play Jacob in New Moon. Personally I really hope they don't replace him because I think he can pull it off and so many twilighter would be really mad.

I just found this on facebook..I thought you'd guys enjoy it as much as I did!!

I heard that too! I really don't want them to change the casting at all, I am really surprised because at first I hated Kristen Stewart but she is the bomb :)

I love the cast! I mean there are a few things they can fix like Alice's hair (make it shorter) and I think that's it. I hope they don't make Taylor Lautner leave! They will have a Team Jacob uprising on their hands!

okayy this is gonna make me sound like a softy but what ever ... so i got back from seeing twilight for the 13th or 14th time .. i lost count ... anyway you know what i said about Let Me Sign making me cry well i realized that is when he says " i'll make it go away" i start crying not just teary ' i stubbed my toe' crying but not quite Reign Over Me or Titanic cry somewhere in the middle.

Aww now that ya'll told me that the next time I watch Twilight I'm gonna cry! lol

I know, so I was wondering, like me you seem to be a big Harry Potter fan... which series do you like better?

For me Harry Potter is a different kind of story and I love it for the story it is.
For Twilight, I love it for the romance and for how strong of a love their is between Edward and Bella.
It is hard for me to choose between to you. Which one do you think is best?
:confused3

Twilight had its UK release yesterday.

My school was out, unlike most schools in the area, so I went to the first showing of it at 1pm.

We were basically the only people there, most people were at school or at work, so it was a good start.

I LOVED it. But, I'm thinking maybe I loved it because I have been waiting so long, and I never gave it too much of a high standard to match up to.
I went in expecting nothing, and came out satisfied Ha Lol.

Yes, there were MANY flaws such as Bella's plain and almost bland acting, as well as characters not meeting their descriptions, missing out the back chat between Edward and Bella and I felt the movie was really rushed. It never seemed to flow, but was always rushing onto the next event.

Overall, I am pleased and I'm going to watch it again at the cinema after christmas and definately will be buying the DVD. Bring on New Moon!

On another note, every single male character was so hot :rotfl:. The pictures did them no justice. I came out the cinema with my friends screaming "Carlise is a DILF! Carlise the DILF."

Ha, we got weird looks.

Cani just say, when i saw it for the first time (the 3rd) I acrtually birst into tears when the cullens came on. And screa\amed. And choked on my popco rn. In one swift movement...
but w/e.
I wa actually pmsing so i was really emotoinal... but i was like OMG! THIS HAS BEEN THE MOMENT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! *tears* *laughter* *why am i crying..* *screams* *chokes* *maddy pats on back*

lol.

That's good! I on the other hand had the complete opposite view! I'm not exaggerating when I say I spent HOURS online watching behind the scenes, interviews, pictures, notes, etc. ANYTHING pertaining to Twilight on the web, I've read/seen it. (Every Twilight video on youtube has at least 1 view, thanks to me) So, as much as I hated Hardwicke from the start, one of the behind the scenes videos of how much work she was making sure everyone was doing, was astounding! The interviews with Stephenie and Melissa Rosenberg (screenwriter) seem like they wanted SO badly to make this movie a success, and to make sure it followed the books as much as possible. I'm not sure whether that's making the expectations higher or lower, but I was very very pleased with the movie. I also fell unconditionally and irrevocably in love with the cast! That played a huge role in my views on it, I think.

I thought the exact same thing, when I saw the previews and clips from it, but think about it; In Stephenie's dream that inspired Twilight, she saw "An average looking girl, with pale skin and dark hair" There's really nothing exciting about Bella. She pretty much defines average, so if she was portayed differently (i.e by extremely expressive acting) it wouldn't have fit the book. The only thing that's supposed to make her different, is really a mystery. It's not supposed to be clear exactly, why Edward is so drawn to her.

Personally, I think everyone did a great job of portaying their character! A lot of people complained (myself included) over Edward, because quite honestly, the entire movie he looked like he was going to throw up, or something. (*ahem*was it really necessary to completely gag and cover your mouth when Bella comes into bio? I swear his face turned green!*ahem*) But also, it's so hard to grasp the concept that these people are playing vampires. Not only vampires, but vampires pretending to be human. They're not supposed to quite fit in, and indeed they don't. Every character in the books is complex in some way, and it's hard to put that into a movie, if each character only gets 2 or 3 lines..It's just not possible. I think each character had one really strong trait, and they all seemed to pull that off very well.

I couldn't agree more. I honestly wouldn't have minded if they made it a 3 hour movie, and it wasn't rushed and they fit more into it.

I don't know...I wasn't that fond of Charlie ;) But other than that, Yes Yes Yes!

Omg, same!

My friend burst out laughing because when Edward walked in I like gasped and started choking. I never thought Robert was that hot in pictures, but my God, the movie just bought Edward to life.
My friend then wouldn't shut up about my emotional outburst for the whole day.

I did exactly the same. I read everything and sometimes in the film, I would be like "I saw that clip months ago on youtube.." and felt maybe I ruined the movie a bit for myself.

Hmm, I see what your saying about Bella being average. But I just look at the way she is played and think, maybe there could have been more "oooomph", I can't explain it. hmm.

I didn't really have a problem with the way they acted, the Cullens and the Hales were played perfectly IMO. Carlisle was more than perfect and I thought Jasper was great too, it broke my heart watching him meet Bella. It was more the appearance of some of the high schoolers, like Mike and Eric, they were so different to the way I imagiend them. I think I set my standards to high there.

Hopefully the next movie wont be so fast paced :)

Awww, yes, Charlie wasn't the hunk of the movie, but I got all teary eyed when Bella left. In Breaking Dawn, when Bella was leaving Charlie and stuff, I was in floods of tears, so if BD ever gets made, I am going to be in such a mess in the cinema!
