My mum's friend wants to read them. In a way i don't want them to read them because if she does she might start criticising them and i don't think i could put up with that, because i'm so obsessed with them.

i know i read that too i wish they would release them at the same time thought bc new moon was my least favorite book and i loved eclipse so the sonner for eclipse the better hmm i forget which book i cried at lol maybe new moon i'm not sure lol. i like eclipse bc there are some cute parts which i read over and over. oh btw is anyone upset about catherine hardwick not filming the next movies i dont really care i just hope the next director does a good job

Not that I like the books, but some of her choices made me LOL.

I am glad that Catherine is not directing the next ones too but their reason for firing her worries me. They fired her because she wanted to spend too much time working on it, to get it right, but indstead they just want to pump it out as quickly as possible to make as much money as possible. I hope that doesn't mean that they are going to sacrifice quality.

All you kids worried about your mother not liking the books-I am a mom, although my kids are too young to read it. My oldest is 11 and I will not let her read these till she is at least 13 and more mature, BUT I think you are not giving your moms credit-these are easy reads and GREAT books, no matter how bizarre they get. If your mom is looking for a book just for fun, this is a good choice. I am almost 39-and maybe yours are older by a bit-but I LOVE them. They suck you in. The reasons for liking it are close to the same- you adore the love/relationships in it and mom will remember that feeling - it brings you back to new love. Beleive me, you HAVE to be immortal to have that new feeling all your life-that is just reality! Try mom on "Midnight Sun" , and see thier reaction, first, if you may.

As far as a new director- I am for it- although the book's dialogue is a bit corny at times on screen("so the lion fell in love with the lamb",... umm, yeah , right), I think that whole going in the woods and Edward showing himself part was pretty, umm, bad, as far as making it all feel "real', like so many movies can do, even when it isn't "real". It was a very confusing scene-first she is not scared, then she is and then .5 seconds later she isn't-OMG-stick with the book, maybe soften some dialogue. It was too much in ONE scene-but I guess that can be a screeen writers problem too. I am looking forward to a new approach, although I liked the movie after getting past how UNLIKE the books it was. The rest(second half) of the movie was good! Bringing DH on Sunday. Gonna cringe at that part, "feeling " his thoughts! It's gonna be sarcastic after the movie is out! I know him well. At least he will know what all thew hoopla is over, though. Then I can drag him to the next 3 movies-wow, the 4th movie will be truly bizarre! It is my 2nd favorite, but boy, it is a bit gory!
