I just thought I'd pop in for a minute to give my opinion of BD.
I didn't like it as much as the other ones. Maybe it's because I hate change? And this book is just so much different than the others. I mean, Bella goes from a clumsy teenager to a mature, strong mother and wife almost overnight.
At first I didn't like how half the book was narrated by Jake, but I got used to it. I learned to appreciate is point of view more. I actually think I would have like to hear how he felt about the Cullens after he imprinted on Nessie.
There were....no fights in this book. I don't usually like the fighting parts anyway, but I missed it when it wasn't there. It was just...odd.
The Nessie thing was also kind of odd. But I don't think any of us guessed that BD would have this sort of plotline. I think we all figured it would still be all about the Jake/Edward/Bella triangle. It sure threw me for a loop when I started reading it and they got married in the second chapter. Haha.
Bella was less whiny, and again, I missed it. I didn't think I would but...I did.
Overall, this book was just kinda odd but I still love the series. I'm currently reading Twilight again.
(On another note, the only thing that's comparable with HP and Twilight is that I love them both a lot.)
