Still keeping fingers and toes crossed for you. How many more days in your 2WW? 10?

Yep 10 days but I just may have to test 2 days early, Friday as opposed to Sunday. I'm not sure that 2 days would make the difference. I'm still keeping positive though! The waiting is the pits!;)

Wow we have so much going on....we need some good news. Esbrick I think you are the only one in the 2WW right now (is that right guys?) so I think it's fitting you get a BFP so we can all celebrate some good news!!

Well I have my appointment made for the RE - I go 2/17 (the day before my birthday). They said they prefer husbands to go to the first one but if he can't get away from work that's okay. I expect that he will though. I'll be 3 or 4 days before ovulation then I think and I expect to only have a medical background done that day. I'm a little anxious about it though. The person I spoke to did ask about insurance and I told her the way I understood it and she said that from what I was telling her that she thought most of mine initially would be "gynecological" and so should be covered. Now I just have another week to wait. Here's hoping for some answers. Since I got pregnant last year I just hope it's something simple.

Oh honey, from your mouth to God's ears! Thank you! :goodvibes

That is great news about how they will code your initial work! I hope that it is something simple as well.:thumbsup2 Do you have the RE's name? See if you can google him/her and get any info too.

I'll admit this to this group and also teased DH a little about this so I'm not the world's meanest wife...

Depending on which way our tests go, I'm a little happy DH will be tortured about having to either "donate" at the RE center or "donate" at home and rush it over...:cool1:

LOL yeah I'm happy about that too. We get poked and prodded enough. They can do something that is "agonizing"

I totally agree! We need some BFP's around here!!

Glad you got your RE appt! :thumbsup2 Make sure you make a list of questions to ask when you are there for sure. I did that and I know Cheri did too and it helped us not to forget anything. That meeting is nerve wracking but hopefully your Dr will be able to give you a plan and make you feel good when you walk out of your meeting.

Hey everyone!!!! I am new to the ttc boards on DIS but just happened to come across it tonight... I have only been ttc for three months {{this time}}, but with ds i tried for 3 years !!!:confused3 ...just wanted to come to a board where I knew there would be some support:grouphug:

Welcome!! Hopefully you won't have that long of TTCing this time around. Did you have to have treatment to get pregnant with your son or did it happen naturally? My DH and I have been TTC #1 for 5 years now. :headache: Just going through my first IUI treatment now. This thread is full of great ladies with some really great support. :goodvibes

Ah well maybe that "woke things up" down there for ya. That's cool that you got pregnant not long after taking it. Thank you :goodvibes Baby Dust to you too!

Well, I'm having low back pain, nausea, and moodiness. It could be AF, she fakes me out a lot. Not sure. I should be starting soon. I get nauseated every morning and it stops by 11. Of course, it does that with AF too. God, I wish she weren't such a good actress!

Yes she is quite a brilliant actress! I hope its pregnancy symptoms and not AF. FX!!

Loving how the "Ladies please tell me aobut your morning sickness" is posted right below our thread! Sheesh!

Why is it that I always get the cleaning bug at work but never at home! I just wanna go home and wash everything with anti bacterial soap especailly since Meg is home sick today and staying at our house. I'm a nut case, I know. . . :upsidedow

oh god....I hate those ads!!

LOL that happens to me too. I sit in front of a computer all day at work and think about all the things I could be doing at home but then when I get home I don't want to do any of them. I hope no one else in the house gets sick.

They redrew bloodwork for my progesterone, and it came back still a little high (from 291 two days ago to 136 today). Tomorrow is my HSG, and if that checks out okay then I will start my meds (Tamoxifen) this Saturday. Then on the 22nd I will go in to check my follies & bloodwork again, to see when I'll be ready for the trigger.

I'm extremely nervous about tomorrow's HSG. About what it'll be like, but moreso about the results.

I had my HSG in December. I was a wreck! It really wasn't that bad. I did take Advil before I went (Rx from Dr.). Good Luck!

Cherbear ~ The anticipation is terrible but the actual process is going to be ok. Yes uncomfortable, but ok!

We'll be thinking of you and sending good vibes so that we get some good news!:goodvibes

Okay someone suggested I make sure I had a list of questions for the RE next week....(I'm sorry sometimes I just can't keep up).....but what do I need to be asking? I really don't know at this point :confused3

That was me. I wish I had my list of questions still.

I would definitely ask what kind of testing they plan on having you do (if you haven't had any yet) or if there are any other tests you should do before treatment. Ask them if DH needs to be tested (or re-tested). Ask the costs of everything, meds, procedures etc (if you have to pay OOP.....which from what you said it looks like everything but treatment is covered which is the way my insurance is.). Ask your Dr's success rates with whatever treatment you guys discuss. Ask if they have a financial adviser if you need it. Most RE's do have one on staff. If you want IF counseling ask if they have a counselor on staff or if they can recommend one to you. Or maybe they have a support group. Not all RE's have that stuff but some do. Oh (I really can't remember the specifics to your scenario sorry) if you are having an IUI ask them how many follies is too many. Like what would they consider too many and cancel the cycle. Also ask if you would have the option of converting to an IVF cycle if you get too many follies (that is something I didn't ask and now wish that I had). Maybe you can ask if they are open to treatment patients on the weekends too. That's how my RE is. Closed to all but treatment patients on the weekend. Which is great.

Anyways, that's all I can think of for now. Cheri helped me come up with my questions so maybe she will have something she can add to that list. Hope this helps!

I also wanted to recommend that you call your insurance and get them to explain your infertility testing/treatment coverage to you. That way you know for sure what you are dealing with.

Great questions from Carla! I would also request an HSG before they do anything, IF it's covered by your insurance. I made the mistake of letting my dr do 2 IUI's and those were unsuccessful so now we are doing the HSG anyway. (Granted, I think he didn't do it first in my case b/c we knew the problem was DH -- but I might have an issue too, so we'll see)

If I think of anything else Carla didn't say, I'll post later.

but is it normal to have your b00bs feel like AF is coming after this whole thing? Anyone know if that is a good or a bad sign? Mine start to feel like AF is coming around the same time everyday, around now, like my body is being possessed by Dolly Parton and stuff! (:worship: All hail Dolly!)

Again, sorry to change the subject, but just wonderin. . .

Yes - very normal. Had the same thing.

yes, the antibiotic and instructed me to take aleve or advil. I'm going to take several of the advil. LOL
I took 2 Alieve about 20-30min before and it worked like a charm. Still felt it, but it wasn't that bad. No cramps at all. In fact, all my life I have had killer cramps w/ AF and Dr. told me to take this. Worked like a charm!!!:thumbsup2 Just make sure to take w/ some food so its not too hard on your tummy.

Rachael- That so stinks about your eggs. Makes me mad that some of us have bad eggs so early in life while others just keep on going. :headache: Not that I don't want to keep going into my 40s but knowing my luck, my eggs are probably committing suicide w/ yours. :sad1: Stupid female clock!!!!!!

Question for anyone who has taken Vitex --- Did you O later in the cycle???? Its day 13 for me and usually by now I at least get a very faint line on the OPT but so far NOTHING!

Anne and E- Good luck! Sending you good thoughts for BFPs.

Cher- Good luck on your test. I hope you pass with flying colors.

WDW- Good move deciding to get the questions beforehand. I was too nervous to even think about it.

D&D- Thank you. I don't understand either but I have faith that something good will come from this struggle. I just hate feeling that my body is against me or that something is being taken away and it just isn't fair. Do you have the same problem?

Well today RE calls me after reviewing my file, test results etc. To my :scared1:, she wanted to hold off on the Provera to bring on AF and give me the injectibel Ovidrel to make me ovulate. She said she didn't want the 3 good sized follies I have to go to waste, so why not just try this cycle.

I said yes without hesitation. I was surprised because I normally have 20 questions... DH went to the specialty pharmacy and picked up the injection. I just did it about an hour ago. It wasn't bad. I can't believe I did it.

Now DH and I have to :banana::banana: tonight, tomorrow and Saturday. I guess this means I'll be in 2ww? I'll ask tomorrow when I call in to let them know I did my homework. ;)

I hope each of you had a nice day and your next steps are as painless as possible.

:grouphug:
