Good morning, ladies! DS is starting 1st grade today!! Now I REALLY feel like I'm running out of time to have #2!

When I did my first IUI last month, I started hanging out on a fertility forum to compare notes/symptoms with others doing IUI at the same time. Obsessive, I know.

Anyways, someone posted this link: 999 Reasons to Laugh at Infertility
I've only read a few entries this morning, but it's GREAT! LOL! Hopefully it'll give us all some laughs. So many things she says are SO true.

Allison, that blog is killing me. There are SO MANY truths on there!! The other doctors, the glaring at the maternity store...ALL TRUE!!

You're totally not running out of time for #2. My cousin's youngest was born when his son was 9 and his stepdaughter was 12. All are happy and well adjusted. (Well, the youngest is a bit of a fireball, but I blame his grandfather/my uncle and genetics-not the age differences)

I added ganirelix into my injections tonight. WOW does that burn! I have a red spot on my stomach about 3 inches across. Can't wait to hear what they say tomorrow!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to check in. Everything went okay on Thursday, and I've had very little physical discomfort since the procedure. My biggest problem that day was they were having a baby shower for one of the recovery room nurses, in the recovery room right across from me. I got to watch them bring in the gifts, open some of them, cut the cake, pose for pictures, etc., and it has been irritating me somewhat ever since. Plus, the staff was busy with the party. Luckily, I was till somewhat drugged up and drowsy at the time, or I think I might have had a very loud fit.

On the upside, my preop and intraop nurses were fantastic.

I am going to head out for a little walk, it's a beautiful day out and I need to pick up a few small items for our trip to DW.

Skuttle, you are in no way running out of time. My dh came years after his older sisters, and was the happiest kid around.

OR mom,.

As always, babydust for a bunch of BFP's!

GRRR...I am so sorry Chloe that you had to go through that!! If I were you I would write a letter to the hopsital administration telling them how inappropiate that was to have a baby shower right across a patient's room who just had a D&C for a miscarriage. HOW AWFUL!! They really NEED to be more empathetic and aware of their patients....that makes me sick!! :sad2:

I'm just getting hot thinking about it  They are soooo lucky I wasn't their patient. Hang in there

Thanks for the welcome everyone!!

Can you ice the area before the injection? I remember doing that before one of mine, and it helped take out some of the sting.

That is awful! You should write a letter. That is so unprofessional, not to mention heartless!

Chloe-I agree with the calls for a letter. That's ridiculous.

ORMom2Four-I may ice it (definitely will for the progesterone!) but tonight's wasn't quite as bad. Knowing what to expect made it easier to keep my hands off it, which made it not quite as bad, if that makes sense.

I went in this morning and my estrogen was much better. I have 4 definite follicles on each side. The leads are about 15 in size. I have to go back in tomorrow morning because they're afraid to let me go too long at this point. Maybe I'll have the retrieval on Tuesday instead of Wednesday?

That's pretty insensitive. I realize it's somewhat of an office and people are going to celebrate stuff with their coworkers but that would have made me crazy. Add that to the hormones and there could have been bloodshed.

Glad to hear everything went well for you. Now onto recovery and a new cycle to try again.

Chloe, that is terrible, how insensitive! I would defintately contact someone at the hospital about it

WHOA-trigger tonight. Retrieval Tuesday. It's happening, and fast.

Courtney...This is so exciting!! I am SO happy for y'all!! I hope everything continues to go smoothly. You'll be getting a BFP before we know it!:goodvibes

Crazy nervous! The boss took it pretty well. I just told her I had to be out for some outpatient surgery. No lies, and it was enough for her to not argue. We have new teacher training on Friday that I will likely miss, but she took that pretty well, also. I just told her there was a follow up in 3-5 days. Again-no lies. I started a z-pack tonight. I have to take in pain meds, anti-nausea meds, and my progesterone. They verify the dosage and concentration of the progesterone. Those injections do start Wednesday, which we both dread. Hopefully I'll feel up to updating tomorrow!

well i can't believe i've been bleeding for 11 days and haven't passed out yet.

it's finally getting to the point were i could call it a normal af but after all the clotting and blood loss i'm really surprised i didn't pass out at some point.

i was exhausted and fell asleep twice during the day - good thing my parents knew i wasn't well and took care of Cassandra.

now i'm just waiting for it to stop so i can't start ttcing again.

Have you told your Dr? What does he/she say?
You stay safe now. Don't make us worry about you Kurby!:grouphug:

We're all behind you on this one! :thumbsup2 Update when you can.

i'm actually seeing my dr tomorrow to get some of my results back.

plus i have this really freaky eye twitch that's driving me nuts.

i'll let you guys know the results of all that blood work last month.

Courtney..I hope everything goes well tomorrow!! Check in when you can! :goodvibes I agree, you told no lies about missing work! You sound like me. When I drove myself to the hospital for my surgery, DH met me there after getting DS off to school. So after surgery, we left my car at the hospital. My parents both came visit that weekend and both asked where my car was. I just said, "It's in town" and they didn't ask any questions. LOL!

Kurby...If you haven't already, you definitely need to mention the bleeding to your Dr. That bleeding is certainly not normal. Take care.

Kurby- The eye twitch sounds like dehydration. Drink a ton of fluids with all of that bleeding you can become dehydrated. I just went thru the same things. I had to have a D&C and then bedrest good luck with everything. Remember drink drink drink!

Well girls had my post op today and all went well the doctor told me I had polyps and severe thickening that he just couldn't believe. Now it BCP's for 2 months to regulate and then we can start trying. I am trilled no clomid until Feb. he thinks it may happen on it's own. So I need to test for ovulation and that's it.

So here is my question I didn't think you O'd when on BCP? Am I wrong? Maybe from my hormones being crazy?

Also AF came about 8 days ago when should I start testing?

I'm home. Got back around noon. They got 7 follicles/eggs. I feel fine. I'm not taking anything stronger than tylenol at this point. The worst part may be that I have to take showers instead of baths for the next 5 days. I ate as soon as we got home and dinner's in the oven (might eat some lunch leftovers before that). The nurse anesthetist did a tiny numbing shot before starting the IV, which made me only feel some tugging during the IV. DH stayed until she took me into the "operating room" for lack of a better word. The doctor and another nurse came in, a lady in a room through a window was there, she asked if I was Courtney X, they said that was a fun name to say, I had an oxygen thingy put over my face and I was out. I needed a LOT of help to walk back to recovery, but came around pretty quick. DH said he was only away from me for about 15 minutes. I drank some pepsi that tasted like toilet cleaner, and went and changed (with a lot of help). It took me forever to use the bathroom, but it didn't hurt or anything. Just slow coming. I even walked into the place my lunch came from.

soontobewed-Are you sure you need to do the OPKs before you come off the pill in 2 mos? I'm not sure if you O while on them or not.

Courtney- I'm sure. I think the problem is that the Pill is making things normal for me since my hormones are messed up. I am thinking they didn't put me on a combo pill so I would O

Yeah on the 7 follicles that's great!

well i saw the dr today.

she did say that there was a big possibility that since i started metformin that my hormones could be trying to regulate themselves and that since i hadn't had af for months before april and then not again until last week that i was shedding all the built up lining.

she did do a blood test to make sure it wasn't a m/c and will call me as soon as the results come in.

i guess the good news is that if my hormones are regulating themselves it may be easier to get pg - if i ovulate that is.

god i hope i can get pg before the years out.
