I had trouble getting my HCG covered as well. Sometimes it's covered, sometimes it's not. One time I paid $17 for it...the next I had NO benefits. I paid cash this time because my copay is higher than the cash price with one of the mail order pharmacies. Let us know after you test tomorrow, but I know it's probably still early to be sure. I am so hoping for you!

I had a ceremonial throwing out of the BCPs yesterday. I went in on Monday for my baseline ultrasound and estrogen. Both were fine, but the doctor (not my doctor) decided to increase my dosage on the Bravelle, so whatever. I got the extra ordered and sent to my parents' house, with my progesterone that I waited on with the short shelf life. The doc is having me come back on Tuesday, a day earlier than originally planned, to monitor my progress on the higher dose. He told me to keep the other appt, so I may be going 2 days in a row next week.

I start my meds on Saturday...Bravelle & Luveris. Nothing else until my 7th dose, then only minor changes. I'm going out of town this weekend, so I'm counting up my needles, vials, and syringes. Complicated!

Allison-I hope you get your BFP soon!! I held out testing until 14dpiui because that is when the Dr. wanted to hear from me. I didn't feel any different and thought for SURE AF was on her way...so please don't give up hope

Still no AF, so I'm trying not to get too upset yet! I plan on testing again on Sunday, which will be 13dpiui. Assuming I make it that far!

I teach with two girls who are overweight and they had no trouble getting pregnant or staying pregnant. GL!

Have you been diagnosed with PCOS? From what I remember when I looked into it years ago, is that it is either caused by being overweight, or can cause someone to be overweight.

I was overweight (not by a ton, but needed to lose 15 lbs) when I was TTC and diagnosed with PCOS, and I had a ton of trouble getting PG the first time. I weighed 4 lbs more when I got PG the second time (when DD#1 was 4 months old), with no trouble at all, and without really trying.

I have irregular cycles, more irregular the more I weigh. I have lost weight recently, and had a regular cycle this month.

I have a SIL who is probably 30-40 lbs overweight and has gotten pregnant twice without trying. She is actually 1-2 months pregnant right now (hasn't been to the OB yet so isn't sure exactly how far).

Hi everyone. My ultrasound did not go well today. There was a very slow heartbeat and very little progress since my last check almost two weeks ago. I was very surprised, as I have had no spotting or cramping, and everything seemed to be moving along well. I am scheduled for a d&c at the end of next week, if I don't miscarry on my own before that.

I am not sure how long after that I will have to wait to try again, but am hoping that it is not too long.

Chloe, I thought about you my whole drive home. This just sucks! We try for so long to get a BFP, then when you do finally get one, this can happen. It's so unfair! Please know that we are here for you.

i thought i was getting af 3 days ago but it turned out to be just spotting then today i stood up from my desk and had to race to the w/c then nothing all day.

this is not normal for me and i can't say that i remember what happened when i got pg with cassie

Kurby - I'm definitely overweight, and took about 18 months to get pregnant with my son. I did 8 rounds of clomid, was on metformin, and was scheduled for IUI. The IUI never happened because I had no follicles at all that month. My DH and I decided to give it a break for 2 months, I stopped taking everything, and I got pregnant out of the blue.

We've been trying now for 2 years again, with no luck. I did another 3 rounds of clomid, but for me, each one makes me crankier and crankier. I have a very thin endometrium when I use it, so the RE said no more. I did one IUI with a mini-stim cycle, but no luck. My insurance doesn't cover the IUI itself, so we've been saving up to try it again. The RE wants a full-stim cycle, and won't do that until I lose weight. like that's easy....

i was on clomid without any luck. got pg with dd (almost 4) without even trying

seems like that happens with a lot of people lol- pay tons of money and get nothing - stop and bam pg.

our fertility said she woudln't see me either until i lost the weight i gained after dd was born - ya sure i'll get right on that (like i haven't been trying)

family dr put me on met. 2 weeks ago and i'm also on iron (it's in the toilet), v-D, asprin, prenatals, agrrr.

i truly am on the verge of giving up since i didn't really want a huge age difference between dd and baby 2 but she's almost 4 and even if i get pg in the next few months she'll be almost 5. that's pushing the limit i wanted.

i wanted them to be close not feel like i have 2 only children. know what i mean

Kurby, I initially felt the same way about the age gap. Five years was my max. Then DS turned 5 and I still wasn't pregnant. DS turned 6 in July and I'm still not ready to give up. Many people have made me realize that just because your kids are close in age does not mean they will have a close relationship. I'm not sure what my new cutoff is. I think for now it is based more on my treatment options than the age of DS.
