For those of you that have taken Clomid, when did the side effects start, if any. Today I took my 3rd pill, and so far I don't think I've had any side effects. I've been reading about Clomid and some people say that they didn't have any side effects until after taking the Clomid. Just trying to prepare myself!

I received my friend's baby shower invite in the mail yesterday and broke down. But it did make me realize what an awful friend I have been during her entire pregnancy. She went through my other friend's pregnancy with me last year and she knows how hard that was for me. So I think she's been avoiding me for that reason. So last night I sat down and wrote her a long email letting her know how sorry I was for not being there, and how much I miss her. She wrote back with similar feelings. I'm now looking forward to seeing her for her shower (She moved to Florida a few years ago). I'm not sure how well I'll do with all the baby gushing, gifts, etc., but I do know that I will at least go see her...and then maybe hide in the corner for the rest of the day! I'll be in the middle of the 2ww at the time of her shower, so at least I'll still have a little hope.

skuttle-I was fine with the Clomid. All the warnings, and I think I had one hot flash, best I can remember, on like the 4th night. It wasn't even the worst hot flash I've had. I just wouldn't worry about it. For me, worrying about them coming was worse than the actual side effect I ended up with.

Good luck with the shower.

chloe-continued good luck!

I got all my meds (minus progesterone-short shelf life) today. Minor drama with them arriving at DSisIL's (they came as soon as she left to take my nephew to school, of course). She called and they came back. It is a LOT of medication. I'm pretty intimidated. Most of it I've done before, but the progesterone injections seem scary. Bigger needle, and given basically in the upper butt...Not sure how that's going to work. DH says he can't do it. Not sure what to do. The meds I take at first are no big deal...Just one extra powder to add in with the injection. I can deal with that.

So I'm sitting here waiting for my follicle scan and I just have to repeat that my dr's office really needs a different u/s waiting room for infertility patients. It's even worse when you are here waiting to confirm a m/c. Ugh! At least I still have hope for this cycle!

Courtney I bet those meds are overwhelming. Just think about the great odds you were given!

Good Luck Skuttle!
Just keep telling yourself that you'll be one of those preggos in a few weeks! :thumbsup2

.

I only had a few hot flashes and lack of CM. That's it.

Th wanted me to hold off on going to the ER I called this morning and I am waiting for them to call back. With Motrin in my system I feel like my uterus is going to fall out and I know it's not:confused3 I am just tired of waiting around. So I am sure it will be an ER visit today at some point and by the way it sounds a DNC just not looking forward to it and I hope I can go home right after it. Anyone have an experience with this proceedure?

I had a D&C after my first pregnancy. I had a blighted ovum at 10 weeks and it wasn't coming out like it should. So I had a D&C and was able to go home that day. I stayed home from work for a week because of the emotional part of it. :( Hope you're feeling better.

Had my scan today which is cd13. Nothing god yet. I had three decent follicles, 13, 14, and 15. But 15 was shaped funny, but he said it till has time to catch up. She seems to think there's no need to worry yet since it's still early and I normally o later. She thinks my follicles are promising so far. I go back on Thursday. If no improvement, no iui and we'll do next cycle with 100mg clomid instead of 50mg.

Allison - fingers crossed for a good scan on Thursday. I am excited to see you finally being able to move forward.

Chloe - Congrats!

Aurora - Hope the meds are going okay.

Well it sounds like everyone is doing well and I will be on this road alone soon, but I will be more than happy to be on this road alone as long as all of you have healthy chubby babies.

I went to do for my sonohystogram and they found a polyp and some thickening of the uterus. It should all be taken care of by next Friday thank goodness.

Baby dust to you all:yay:

No, you won't be alone. I'll be here to keep ya company. :hourglass

I am just tired. I found out that I have to go thru 2 regular AF's before I can start the cycle of clomid and I have to stay on the BC for those 2 months. UGH!!!

soontobewed-I totally understand. I'm on the pill for the second month right now waiting for IVF, because they couldn't get me in any sooner. The holding pattern is terrible. I'm not allowed to do the off week, so I'm on the 4th week of pills, which is screwing up my stomach and giving me constant spotting. I have actually considered never going back on the pill for birth control because it gives me so many stomach problems. Fun times, fun times.

What are they going to have to do for the polyp and thickening? Is that what the D&C is for?

Allison-how was the Clomid? Not so bad, right? So are they ever going to make you trigger ovulation, or just wait? Hopefully there will be a lot of progress by your next visit!

Absolutely nothing new here, other than paying off my credit card for the shared success program (with the loan we got, but whatever). We now have many more disney points than we did before. I don't like seeing my credit card bill that high!!

I am on a tapering dose of BC 3 pills/day for 3 days 2 pills/day for 3 days etc... I am not taking the white pills either.

The D&C will hopefully take care of all of the issues we will see? I hope so

:wave2:

Hi there....not sure who this thread is for....but I just stopped my BCP's a week ago and have begun taking prenatal vitamins.

I had benign cysts removed from both ovaries last year so we'll see how that affects things.

soontobewed  I'm so sorry you have to wait out 2 cycles. I had to sit out a cycle due to the timing my of surgery. It sucks!

Courtney, the clomid wasn't bad at all. I think I may have had a few hot flashes, but other than that, nothing. My Dr wants me to get a good follicle (at least 20) before doing an IUI. It sounded like if I am close on Thursday, she may trigger O. I'm not sure though. I didn't have an appt with her so when I saw her she spoke really fast! I know during my last monitored cycle (non-medicated) my biggest follicle was 18 and they wouldn't do the IUI. My Dr didn't seem concerned at all at this point, so we shall see. Good news is that my lining was great. I was worried about that since I've heard clomid can thin the lining, but the u/s tech said it was great. Hopefully on thursday I'll have some nicer follicles! I'm pretty sure these follicles are bigger than what I started off with during my last monitored cycle.

At first we're just going to see how it goes. My new Doctor (we moved to a different state after the surgery), says if nothing happens after 5 or 6 months then we'll move on from there.
