We were on a snorkel high when we all boarded our trusty ocean vessel.
Happy to have seen Sea Turtles & Sea Creatures. And happy to not made a playdate with Jaws. Life was good on this fine day in the Caribbean....
And was only about to get better as the boat staff broke out the booze.
After all, what goes better with frolicking in the big wide ocean better than alcohol. I mean, it seems safe right?
This Pirate Wench would think so......
I would like to term this shot... Grandma... Drink 1 out of 272.
And what compliments booze and ocean swimming? Tattoos, of course! Duh.
On our way over to our next stop we tatted up!!!
I mean this is soooooooooooo close to being Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean, right?
I'm pretty sure he's ready to pillage some villages and steal some gold. Arghh...
The whole tatted up, drunk crew. (Ok.. only ONE person in this picture was on her way to being drunk and we won't say HER name.. except it starts with G ends with A and has the letters "RANDM" in between them).
Yes Grandma IS still holding a drink. Yes Grandma IS attempting to pull down her suit and Yes Charlie IS looking at her thinking W T F is going on here?
This picture is called Grandma.. Drink 30/272.. clothing optional.
Dang, we were not even at the beach yet. But look at this ocean-kissed girl!
No doubt, laughing at Gram.
We finally arrived at Honeymoon Bay to swim. It was a beautiful little secluded bay......
Into the water we went-
Palm-tree lined & white sandy beach..
Who let that drunk lady in the water with children?
This is my mother & my daughter. My mother claims she was helping her with a summersault. I dunno, to me it looks like perhaps a sketchy situation....
But alas, little Miss survived her drunk Grandma's 'help'.. and moved away... far away.....
So Gram moved to the little one.....
The middle one. Swimming.........
Amazingly the whole time at the beach there were no thoughts on sharks here. Not sure why.....
Maybe I was too concerned on where I was stepping since Becca found this....
And this....
And watching this cutie patotie swim around...
And we took a whole lot of pictures of our feet. I don't really know why that is and I am choosing to not share them. You are welcome.
Uh, where did Gram go? No, seriously, Where's Gram?
Oh, there she is......
Is she dead? Passed out?
Oh people, please.......... she was 'rejuvenating' for her next round....
Party in the Ocean!!!
I call this "Grandma .. drink 180/272.
She was in very good company as much of the boat was drinking and drinking & drinking. So much I overheard the boat staff say "I can't even put the pitchers down before they grab it and down it!".
Party Harty!!!
Meanwhile, the RESPONSIBLE designated CHILD...... frolicked with her adorbs children!
Yes, that is a Cubs hat. Suck it Cards fans! (said in a loving voice, of course!)
Also this may be about the time my mother started calling me names like 'pu$$y' for not keeping up with her. Nothing like some drinking pressure from your mother. But really, how can I keep up? She's like Pro & I'm like lightweight. I may (or may not have) flicked her off at this point. We have a loving relationship like that... where she shames me & I use my big girl words and give her the bird.
Soon enough they called us back up on the boat. Our excursion was almost over. We had three very happy, wet, sun-tanned girls!!!
And interestingly enough a mother, who the week after returning from the cruise claimed "I was not drunk". And she also claimed "I was not singing random songs at the top of my lungs on the boat ride back".
Well.......... um...... I give you "Grandma Drink 272/272- Most Definitely Drunk"
Also, I have the video of her singing & I took great (GREAT) pleasure in showing it to her. Her reply was "Oh..............."
Back to the port.. where 3 ships were in dock. Ours is by far, the prettiest!!!
Cuteness with our boat in the background-
There were quite a few of my girls group on the same excursion & so we had to get a pic of all of us!!!
Eh, that lady in the white hat totally tried to shimmy up in our Girls Club by elusively photobombing the picture.
Excursion almost over.
An absolute two big thumbs up from everyone on this excursion! We all loved it. Even Gram, who doesn't remember it.......
Thank goodness for photo proof.
We arrived back on the dock by 1pm. Just in time to go grab lunch. Our appetite was high until the very red hair lady we nicknamed Ariel, who had joined my mother in the water with her booze..... leaned over the boat as she got off & threw up everywhere.......and then passed out right there.
Sarah STILL talks about that event TO THIS DAY. It was very traumatic for her to see that... All I can say to her is "You have no idea how close your Grandma was to that exact situation".
Least we got Gram back on the boat. Dignity and stomach contents, still in tact. Okay, maybe not the dignity....
After we showered & ate lunch... (okay, so we also rode Aquaduck but those pictures come next post since I only have room for one more)... we went back to the room and watched sailway.
This is how 3 boats try to leave at the same time.. in case you were wondering.....
As mentioned.. a FANTASTIC day in St. Thomas!!!!
