(New TR Link) Yo Ho, Yo Ho- Rum and Sharks for Me!An Eastern Fantasy TR May 31-June 7

Now that's what I call an excursion !!!!!

:thumbsup2

Am I seeing your countdown says 2 weeks till Universal & a double-dip? Oooh, so jealous!!!

My bestfriend did Universal a few weeks ago & she said the new Harry Potter area was AMAZING!!! And a double dip... lovely! Did that in 2012 and loved it as Castaway Cay is heaven on earth for me! Have a blast!!!

That excursion looks like it was so much fun!

It really was. Between the turtles & my mother....... it was pretty awesome!

Yep, not long now and can't wait !
We went to Universal a few years ago when the first part of Harry Potter opened and can't wait to go back and see the expansion!
2 days at Castaway Cay whoop whoop! And finally WDW for Halloween :-)

Did you all think I got eaten by a shark?

Lordy, it's been a long time since I've updated. I'm fairly certain most of any faithful readers have long since deserted me.... labeled me a failure & moved on with their lives & away from this trip report.

But here I am. Faithfully returning to finish at least ONE trip report. I will not plague you with reports of how busy I was/am. Instead I will just take this time to thank my employer for having no idea I am using working hours to update my TR after 2 months. Thank you, work.

In an effort to make up for my long absense... I thought I would post some more random drunk pictures of my mother. As she seemed to be a big hit on my last update...

I found these in a different section after I posted last.

You are welcome mother. For more of the "I'm not drunk" pictures.

I can claim no credit for these pictures. My child took them. Probably for her back to school essay "What I did on My Summer Vacation" Hers, accompanied by pictures and video, simply stated "I watched Grandma get really drunk on a boat and then go into the ocean"

Anyways, those drunk pictures will have to satisfy you all (and by you all I mean no one) as the rest of this day was not at all that entertaining. We hit our high on the snorkel boat!

After we got back on our trusty ship- we headed up to force Gram on the Aqua Duck. See, she steadily refused to ride it since Day 1 as she doesn't like 'thrill rides'. However, considering the amount of alcohol in her, we convinced her it would be a great idea to try it now. This could really go either way......

Either she loved it.

Or she would throw up everywhere... island rum punch. And by everywhere, I mean in my daughter's hair. Because that's who was riding with her.

Not to kill your suspense or anything, but no one threw up. And, once we got home and I was able to load my photopass pictures, we even discovered these pictures on them.... we didn't even know they were taken:

Man, she would disown me if she ever knew this trip report existed.

As you can see.. drunk laughs abound.

Also, Disney felt that our deserved punishment for sticking a drunk Grandma on Aquaduck was to not take pictures of any of the rest of us on it........

But I took some with my own camera.. so there Disney. Pfffpff...

Yhea, I know ,they are nowhere near as fun! Oh well. We had fun at the pool didn't we B?

We did.

St. Thomas is a pretty island. With it's mountains. And greenery.

After all our water, drinking fun... we headed back to the room for some naps (for the littles) and reading for me.

Eventually everyone woke up and watched sail-away from our balcony. It was kinda neat seeing 3 ships trying to leave right around the same time...

Sarah and Charlie headed to the clubs for a bit. Mom & I looked at pictures. And then eventually we all got ready for dinner. Tonight Dinner was here:

We got dressed up.. as you can see....

Whatevs.

Dh admired the napkinary (yes, that is a word.. because I just made it up- go forth and use it frequently)

I admired the lights... and took a bad picture of them with my mother's head randomly in it.

Regardless of our casual dressing..cuteness was around. All around.

We were absolutely spoiled tonight because we were the ONLY table that came to eat for our servers!

Our awesome server Gilbert sat down next to Char and poured her some ketchup...

And then tried to force feed her califlower...

Despite the big smiles- she wasn't having it. Even the magic of Disney and Tinkerbelle's pixie dust couldn't force that awful white flower in her mouth!

Renaldo, our other server, entertained us with bad magic tricks. Which had us cracking up. And Charlie enthralled.

I ordered a Blue Cheese Raspberry Apple Walnut Salad

Yum.

And Turkey Platter

Yum again.

And two (yes, two.. do not judge!) Lemon Cheesecake and Flourless Choc Cake.

Come on, they are small, right?

Right. Oink. Oink.

So far, this had been MY best meal.

The kids all got (wait for it.. wait...)

Are you surprised? I didn't think so!

After dinner we headed back to the room. I read on the deck with the sound of the shark filled ocean lapping in my ear....

Daddy & Sarah went off to see Maleficent again.

Gram and B went to bingo and then the magic show.

Char & I went shopping. We purchased 2 pins, one photo book & one magnet (which my dumb dog took off my fridge and ATE already!!)

That wrapped our St. Thomas Day and so far.. it was all our favorite Day of the trip. Even Gram who doesn't remember it! Ha!

Now you may returned to your normal lives and maybe hope that I get another update out before Christmas.

(NO darnnit- I WILL finish this report! I will!) I will now return to my paid work which allows me to take fun shark filled vacations!

Yay! You didn't get eaten by a shark! Glad to see you back updating. Which reminds me I need to get an update done on my own trip report. :)

Love the drunk pics. You might get disowned! :rotfl2:

Yhea. Someone is still reading! :cool1:

I am safe from getting disowned. Despite me showing her at least 3 times, she still can't figure out how to use the DIS. Phew. :thumbsup2

I'm saving getting eaten by Tiger sharks for my Hawaiian Vacation which is in 127 days- not that I'm counting or anything..........

Can I borrow your drunk grandma for my next cruise??? And ummmm how was she not a member of our "weight loss" group????

Can I borrow your drunk grandma for my next cruise??? And ummmm how was she not a member of our "weight loss" group????

She comes with a lot of baggage- like all good (grand)mothers should! And by baggage I don't mean physical bags! :)

She pretty much makes it her life work to offend every group/demograhic humanly possibe! The stories I could tell of times I wish the earth would swallow me whole as she 'whispered' (not at all) some offending remark about a person nearby....

She was not part of the group because much like the three times I tried to get her to use DIS and failed... She is unable to figure out FB!

LOL... Well she woulda fit right in! And I was thinking she could provide child care.... But nevermind Nick is probably better off just running around the ship alone hahahaha!!! At least she is doing her job of embarrassing you well.... All good mothers strive for that achievement!

Bwhahahahah!!! :rotfl2: Provide child care?! Um. Let me count the number of times she provided childcare for us on this cruise so hubby and I could go out?

Thinking...

Thinking....

Yhea. None.

Grandma doesn't do childcare. She will take a child with her if the activity SHE wants to do allows for children. But she won't give up her time for children.

One time at DisneyWorld she watched our kids so we could go to Jellyrolls..and I had to give her a kidney. Ok, not quite. But it felt like it. I had to hear about how much work she had to do for my children while we went out boozing it up...blah, blah, blah, blah...........

Nick was better roaming the ship by himself. Yup! :)

WB! Thanks for the trip report, i'm loving reading it and love your style of story telling :-)

I Love Love Love your trip report!!! Did I mention that I am enjoying your trip report just a little bit?? Don't think I can wait until Christmas for another up date. I'm pretty sure your boss won't mind you keeping all of your disboard friends happy and giving us an update next week.:)

I'm still here!!!! I was surprised to log on and see an update. Woohoo!!! You can totally finish this, there's only a couple days left :cool2:

Oh and notice the updated ticker! I'm totally going to visit friends (hopefully we can catch an adult beverage together or something at least), park hop and shop on my own schedule.

Just fair warning for you...I DO KNOW how to use the DIS and if you post drunken photos of me (because you KNOW there will be some) and they aren't cute, I'll have to hurt you! :lmao:

Note to self: practice CUTE drunken photos in the next 96 days. ;)

My mother in law sounds a bit like your mama. Once when the boys were little we suggested going to Chucky-Cheese (is that even how it's spelled??) and her response was "Why would I go there? There's nothing for ME to do." :confused3 I dunno, I thought you could bask in the light of your grandchildren's glee, but apparently not? :rolleyes2 At least your mom gets drunk, I think if my MIL got drunk it might be a bit more fun. :p

yay!!!! Another drunken (grand)Mama update!!

Do you think it's the age, as my Mom can really embarrass me at times? Oh, I, too would love to just sink into the floor at times. The pictures from the Aqua Duck are so nice. The ones you took are cool as it shows how high up it is. Dinner looked nice and yes, I totally agree that napkinery is the exact work for napkin art! I'm glad your honey appreciated the talent. :thumbsup2

I write some of my best updates at work, so go ahead and do that!! Please don't make us wait until Christmas!! :sad1:

WAHOO...some drunk updates! Your poor mother :rotfl2: but I am loving things from your point of view! Although getting a little worried of what pictures might be taken of me in a few months and what might get posted! When I grow up I want Nicole's humor!

The attire for dinner is completely perfect in my book and the server, well how is that for some personal Disney magic. I am thinking the girl's dessert looks a might more my speed at this dinner...good choice!

WB! Thanks for the trip report, i'm loving reading it and love your style of story telling :-)

Yhea! Hi!! Thanks for reading along even after my pathetic absence! :) My sense of story telling is simply called..... sarcasm. :upsidedow

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I like anyone who likes my style of writing because it means they are sarcastic too. (takes one to know & appreciate one!!) So welcome!! :thumbsup2

I promise to try very hard to not make anyone wait till Christmas. I already have the next pictures ready to go in photobucket!!! (and my boss is at a conference all next week.. woo hoo!!!)

I'm still here!!!! I was surprised to log on and see an update. Woohoo!!! You can totally finish this, there's only a couple days left :cool2:

I think I can, I think I can............. Although Castaway Cay will be like 15 posts in itself! Hahaha!!! :) (and thanks for still sticking around!)

Oh and notice the updated ticker! I'm totally going to visit friends (hopefully we can catch an adult beverage together or something at least), park hop and shop on my own schedule.

Woo Hoo!!!!! Are you staying at a resort or at friends? For SURE we'll have to meet up. I have no pouty hubby and no whiney kids this whole trip. I have a pesky 19.3 miles I have to run in there but most this is just a girl's only trip!! I am very excited....:cheer2:

Well considering you have a better camera AND you take better pictures than me... I'm sure that if I were to post any bad pictures the retaliation would not be pretty. Although I'm not sure that either of us can be responsible for what shows up on facebook while drunk? Maybe we should lock down our phones for protection? :confused3

Yes, at least my mother drinks to alleviate some of the martyr behavior. It does help! :)

Great use of the word napkinery. I appreciate you taking my task to heart & using the word! :rotfl2:

With my mom it's just personality. As I clearly remember incidences even in my youth. (I am painfully shy in social situations and so when it happens it leaves a very vivid mark on my brain!!!).

It's just gotten louder as she gets older because her hearing is going so the 'whispering' is more like screaming. But she thinks it's whispering and then when I tell her to shhh....... she gets all annoyed and mad at me (you know, because I was the one that just made the incredibly loud rude comment about the people in line in front of us............NOT!) Mothers! :) Love her..but often tell my hubby.... I will NOT grow up and be like my mother!!!

Hahaha- you don't have to only worry about me Tammie... but Karen too! (she takes better pictures!). Although I promise I will make sure all pictures are given the A.OK before public posting... although in my scrapbook.. that's another story!!!! Hahahahaha!!!
