(New TR Link) Yo Ho, Yo Ho- Rum and Sharks for Me!An Eastern Fantasy TR May 31-June 7

Wow, I got behind! BadTweedle! BTW, there is this commercial that makes me think of us...it's a Lipton Tea commercial I think and these two guys come in and start singing. They are dressed in red pants and yellow shirts though and they look a bit like Tweedles, so once I noticed that, I just think of us as big men singing about Tea. :lmao:

Ok, back to you. Arg, surely you are my RebelPirateTweedle! Breaking the rules while choking on cigarette smoke! Woot! I can nearly not control my passive aggressive behavior when people start smoking in front of me. I cough, I roll my eyes, I cover my face and then usually pat my daughter on her head...all in my passive aggressive attempt to point out how they are killing me and my child...without actually causing a confrontation, because you know I hate those! Yet still continue with the passive aggressive behavior!

The scuba diving looks AWESOME!!! Score for mom on this one. WTG with facing those sharkfears, it looks like fun was had by all. :lovestruc

I could pull the 'looking like a guy' thing off and sing about tea. Yup, sure could! "Tea is awesome, Tea is great.. Drink your tea and don't be late! Because late is bad and makes me mad. So drink your tea and don't be late with me!" Why has Lipton not hired me yet? :confused3

I am so bad with passive aggressive behavior with smokers. So bad... I can't stand smoke in my face.. it really, really bothers me. Which is funny because I grew up in a house full of smokers. You would think I would have been used to it. Course my dad also died from lung cancer at a very early age.. so there's that.......... the best part is I passed on this hatred of smoke to my middle child who has problems filtering.. so when I start waving and coughing and covering my mouth.. she just flat out says loudly in earshot of the person "why is that person smoking? It's so disgusting! Don't they know it will kill them". And I'm all like.. "well, there we go. .problem solved! Thanks for having balls Sarah!" :thumbsup2

I am loving your TR. My family and I are leaving on this same trip in one short week. So glad I am caught up, so now maybe I can start packing...:beach:

Welcome!!! So exciting that you are less than a week away from a cruise!! Woo!!! :cool1:

And packing early is overrated. I always find myself packing about 6 hours before my flight leaves! Ha!

Oh that looks like lots of fun! That turtle sighting, is so awesome!! Who wouldn't love swimming with turtles!

I'm half way through your trip report and absolutely loving it. Time to leave work now so i'll have to finish tomorrow. Shhh don't tell. Great job and I love your writing style.

It was seriously so amazing!!! :lovestruc There were actually other turtles around us too, but none got as close to us like this one did....

Hi! Welcome!!! So I'm not the only one who slyly spends afternoons at work reading through trip reports.. only to quickly click over if a boss walks down my aisle? Good to know I'm not alone!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the compliments! The writing style is just called natural born sarcasm. I have it in abundant quantities much to the dismay of many! :)

What a fab update

Hi Stranger!!! :wave2: The snorkeling was amazing! We all loved it! :lovestruc

Our host was pretty cool & I am sure lucky I got to know her so I could see that suite!!!! :thumbsup2 And dang, I could have taken more pics?!?!?! How can you ever go back to a normal room after that? ;)

We were on a snorkel high when we all boarded our trusty ocean vessel.

Happy to have seen Sea Turtles & Sea Creatures. And happy to not made a playdate with Jaws. Life was good on this fine day in the Caribbean....

And was only about to get better as the boat staff broke out the booze.

After all, what goes better with frolicking in the big wide ocean better than alcohol. I mean, it seems safe right?

This Pirate Wench would think so......

I would like to term this shot... Grandma... Drink 1 out of 272.

And what compliments booze and ocean swimming? Tattoos, of course! Duh.

On our way over to our next stop we tatted up!!!

I mean this is soooooooooooo close to being Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean, right?

I'm pretty sure he's ready to pillage some villages and steal some gold. Arghh...

The whole tatted up, drunk crew. (Ok.. only ONE person in this picture was on her way to being drunk and we won't say HER name.. except it starts with G ends with A and has the letters "RANDM" in between them).

Yes Grandma IS still holding a drink. Yes Grandma IS attempting to pull down her suit and Yes Charlie IS looking at her thinking W T F is going on here?

This picture is called Grandma.. Drink 30/272.. clothing optional.

Dang, we were not even at the beach yet. But look at this ocean-kissed girl!

No doubt, laughing at Gram.

We finally arrived at Honeymoon Bay to swim. It was a beautiful little secluded bay......

Into the water we went-

Palm-tree lined & white sandy beach..

Who let that drunk lady in the water with children?

This is my mother & my daughter. My mother claims she was helping her with a summersault. I dunno, to me it looks like perhaps a sketchy situation....

But alas, little Miss survived her drunk Grandma's 'help'.. and moved away... far away.....

So Gram moved to the little one.....

The middle one. Swimming.........

Amazingly the whole time at the beach there were no thoughts on sharks here. Not sure why.....

Maybe I was too concerned on where I was stepping since Becca found this....

And this....

And watching this cutie patotie swim around...

And we took a whole lot of pictures of our feet. I don't really know why that is and I am choosing to not share them. You are welcome.

Uh, where did Gram go? No, seriously, Where's Gram?

Oh, there she is......

Is she dead? Passed out?

Oh people, please.......... she was 'rejuvenating' for her next round....

Party in the Ocean!!!

I call this "Grandma .. drink 180/272.

She was in very good company as much of the boat was drinking and drinking & drinking. So much I overheard the boat staff say "I can't even put the pitchers down before they grab it and down it!".

Party Harty!!!

Meanwhile, the RESPONSIBLE designated CHILD...... frolicked with her adorbs children!

Yes, that is a Cubs hat. Suck it Cards fans! (said in a loving voice, of course!)

Also this may be about the time my mother started calling me names like 'pu$$y' for not keeping up with her. Nothing like some drinking pressure from your mother. But really, how can I keep up? She's like Pro & I'm like lightweight. I may (or may not have) flicked her off at this point. We have a loving relationship like that... where she shames me & I use my big girl words and give her the bird.

Soon enough they called us back up on the boat. Our excursion was almost over. We had three very happy, wet, sun-tanned girls!!!

And interestingly enough a mother, who the week after returning from the cruise claimed "I was not drunk". And she also claimed "I was not singing random songs at the top of my lungs on the boat ride back".

Well.......... um...... I give you "Grandma Drink 272/272- Most Definitely Drunk"

Also, I have the video of her singing & I took great (GREAT) pleasure in showing it to her. Her reply was "Oh..............."

Back to the port.. where 3 ships were in dock. Ours is by far, the prettiest!!!

Cuteness with our boat in the background-

There were quite a few of my girls group on the same excursion & so we had to get a pic of all of us!!!

Eh, that lady in the white hat totally tried to shimmy up in our Girls Club by elusively photobombing the picture.

Excursion almost over.

An absolute two big thumbs up from everyone on this excursion! We all loved it. Even Gram, who doesn't remember it.......

Thank goodness for photo proof.

We arrived back on the dock by 1pm. Just in time to go grab lunch. Our appetite was high until the very red hair lady we nicknamed Ariel, who had joined my mother in the water with her booze..... leaned over the boat as she got off & threw up everywhere.......and then passed out right there.

Sarah STILL talks about that event TO THIS DAY. It was very traumatic for her to see that... All I can say to her is "You have no idea how close your Grandma was to that exact situation".

Least we got Gram back on the boat. Dignity and stomach contents, still in tact. Okay, maybe not the dignity....

After we showered & ate lunch... (okay, so we also rode Aquaduck but those pictures come next post since I only have room for one more)... we went back to the room and watched sailway.

This is how 3 boats try to leave at the same time.. in case you were wondering.....

As mentioned.. a FANTASTIC day in St. Thomas!!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the "what the?" look from Charlie to grams!!!! That is freaking fantastic!!!! :lmao:

Between grandma flashing her cleavage and Tyler showing his rear... I'm starting to wonder what the heck kind of excursion this was!!! :rolleyes1

i read your whole trip report and it's hysterical - love your sense of humor - can't wait to read more! :rotfl2:

Awe Thanks! And :welcome: Luckily you stumbled onto the never-ending year long trip report so there IS more to come still...... ;)

Yhea, no words could sum up the situation quite like Char's look! It's perfect. I think I might print out that picture in an 8x10 and frame it & give it to my mom for Christmas... the tag will say "Remember when you said you were not drunk?"

You know, I forgot about Tyler's Rear... what did they put in that punch?!?! All I know is it made it highly entertaining all around! :thumbsup2

Looks like a fun day! I would be very nervous swimming with that crab walking around under the water, that is the reason I am not a fan of he ocean. My DH on the other hand would find it amazing.

I can forgive you being a cubs fan, like I have said before, our mutual love for Disney outweighs the baseball rivelry. But I do have to say, I am looking forward to yet another "red October"!:rolleyes1

Your kiddos looked like they were having so much fun...too cute! I am glad Grandma kept her stomach contents !:lmao:

I think the crab/urchin only reminded me that we probably should be wearing water shoes... I bought several pairs on clearance in the past few months for all of us for Hawaii.......

Yhea, yhea.. I will never see any playoff fun with the Cubbies. We have nothing to stand on except Chicago fans are loyal to a fault...... probably because copious amounts of beer are always part of any Cub game! Ha! :)

Ok I'll keep quiet on the Cub fan thing! But omg why in the world did the rest of us not do this excursion too???? Could you see the entire group of fabulous ladieS...... They would have for sure ran out of punch!

Yes, where's Mickey backing me up with the Cubs?!? :)

This excursion was really fun... I liked it a lot..... you should have come- all the cool 'Ladies' went. Hahahaha!

And I wonder if Tyler knows just how famous his backside is?????

I'm sure Laura must have told him?!?! :confused3
