I think that I am the last person on earth who doesn't own a digital camera yet. I am looking to buy one for my upcomming trip to Disney word. Any advice on what certain features to look for when buying a digital camera or a specific brand name? I want a camera that is easy to use but will give me great pictures of Disney World. Any help or advice you can give is GREATLY appericated. Thank you! :)

The first question is, what's your budget?

If it's in the $300-400 range, I would check out the Canon S2 IS. It's replacement ($499) was just introduced so they are discounting the older model which means you should be able to get one for around $300.

Amazon.com is still selling it for $339. If you look around (Target, Staples, etc) you may be able to find it for less.

second question, what is your style/purpose of shooting? Just casual "as long there is pictures I'm happy" or "I have to have the best picture possible for my money" or "I want the easiest camera to use, quality be damned".

You can buy a Canon A610 or A620 online in the $200 range. I own the A610 and both are a GREAT camera for the price. If you want more zoom I would strongly suggest the S2 (or the S3 depending on your budget). The A6x0's aren't exactly pocketable but they're smaller than the S2 so if size is important to you that's another factor also.

I just wanted to say thank you for all yoour help so far I am looking to spend around $400. I want to get the bet picture possible for my money. When I do go I plan on taking a lot of pictures. How many pictures does a memory card usually hold? What about battery time? I have so many questions. thank you all again for all your help! :)

for an A620, approximately 130 pics on a 512 Mb card.

I use multiples of 512 Mb cards instead of one 4 Gb card because if the card is corrupted, I'll lose the whole thing. Whereas with multiples of smaller cards, if I corrupt one card, only the data on that card will be lost.
