New to the board!

Hi, ladies, I've been lurking for about 2 months now and I thought it was time to introduce myself. My name is Audi, and I've been engaged for 3 months. I love Dinsney World, so there is no other way to go, I have to have a Disney wedding. Just reading the posts on this board has been so helpful!
Because of our work schedules, the only time that we can have the wedding is going to be August of 08. I know that you can not start booking until a 12 months out, but we will be taking a trip to Disney World this May. Is there any way that we can talk to someone while we're there? If so, how do we get in contact with them? If anyone can give me any information that would be so great. Thanks!

Welcome and congratulations! These boards will answer most of your questions, give you some great tips and ideas, and be a shoulder to cry on when the wedding stress causes a bridezilla moment.

Create your Wish Book here ( www.disneyweddings.go.com/ ) and get some ideas about your locations for ceremony and reception as well as the size of your wedding. Most questions really can be answered here on the DIS but you may want to contact DFTW to let them know some of your general information. They can send you the DVD and an information packet. At 12 months out they can confirm your date and then at 8 months you make your deposit and sign the contract. In the meantime you still have lots of plannig to do so dont hesitate to get an early start.

I would suggest going ahead and contacting DFTW and tell them you are planning a visit soon and would like to speak to someone. I'm sure they'll let you know if that is something you can do!

give them a call and tell them you are planning a wedding in about a year and are taking a visist down there in May and want to meet with someone. YOu might get them to set up an appt. for you. we did our site visit at 17 months out and spoke to someone at 19 months out. good luck.
