Hi! I have never done any scrapbooking but have wanted to start for a long time. I would like to make my own autograph book for my DD. I have alot of pages with the character in color that I got from Rosie. We are not going until July, 2007, so I have alot of time to work on it. The supplies I have are: 3-ring hole punch, white cardstock paper, a binder to put the pages in. When I get done I would like to make a small book for each park that we visit. I could really use some help and guidance.
1. The color pages that I have I would like to somehome put my daughter's name on the pages something like: Hi, my name is Alicen. I would like to put it at the top and on the bottom I would like to put: Disney Vacation 2007. Is there some way I could do this or am I just dreaming?? I currently have about 100 different pages saved in word. I also joined photbucket (don't know what to do there, though! lol).

So as you can see I really would like to get started but have no idea how. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it! Thanks :surfweb:

First of all :welcome: to the DIS and the Creative Community!!

Here are some links to some threads about autograph books,

Photobucket is where you can upload your pictures to keep them, view them, share them, etc.... My autograph book pictures from the third thread are stored there.

Another website you can look at is www.twopeasinabucket.com click on peanut gallery, then on "view by category" in the green bar and scroll down for disney. Click on disney and you will find tons of pages and ideas.

I'm not sure who Rosie is so I can't help you there.
Read though the threads and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Buffy,
THanks for your reply and advise. I looked at the info that you passed along and I just LOVE the book that Marypoppinsiam made with just carrying around the tags. I think I might try that one. I was really dreading carrying a big book around. But I think the tags and clipboard will work out great. Plus we always rent a stroller so I really won't have to "carry" a clipboard I can just pull it out. Thanks again! I will let you know if I have anymore questions! :cheer2:

Sue,
Staples carries mini clipboards so you don't have to carry a huge one around. on 2peas if you do a search for altered clipboard you can see how some people decorate them.
I do tags as well and just remember the bigger the paper, the bigger the autograph. They like to use all the space given to them. My book was 6x6 so my tags were 3x5 and 4x4.
ETA I cary them in a ziploc bag so they don't get wet and I had another bag in the room for the signed tags.

Buffy,

I just joined the 2peas website, it seems great. Is there someplace I can get instructions on how to make the altered clipboards? I would like to make one for my DD teacher at the end of the year too! Also, do you buy your tags that size or do you make them yourself? Thanks for all your help! :thumbsup2

This is a pretty basic way to alter the clipboards.

I precut my tags out of cardstock. The 4x4 was the easiest since it was even for 12x12 paper. They were all square but some of them have enough room to snip the edges to look more like tags. I mostly used white and off white since they went with most pages. I did do a few is character specific colors but if wasn't very cost effective. I'm sure you could buy the tags but it may get pretty expensive.
Some people have also punches holes in them to slip them on a ring. I have bought large rings in the cross stitch dept at Michaels.
