We're going to Disneyland from June 19-25. All of the considerations, like grad nights, ap blockout days, carsland opening, have my head spinning! what do you think the best days would be for park crowds? I already know that sunday the 24th is gonna be horrid. is there any hope for any of the other days? My family will probably either skip carsland or only try to brave going in once. what day from the 19th to the 25th would be LEAST crowded for carlsland? how fast will the fast passes run out for the racing ride?

I am going to guess June 22-23 will be the best days among all those days for crowds. Which is not saying much. It will still be crowded. Maybe/hopefully a bit less. Yes avoid June 24 at all costs.

Hmmm, why would a Saturday be less crowded than a weekday? Are they grad days and non-black out days or something?

Do you think Saturday 6/23 will be less crowded than the following weekdays (6/25-6/28) as well? Which of those days would you suggest?

Thanks,

It is all driven by SoCal AP holders exercising their right to attend DLR on days they are not blacked out.

Good stuff, thanks.

So if I were to pick 2 days to visit between 6/23 - 6/29 I would assume 6/23 (all passes blocked out) and then one of the days at the beginning of the week, Monday or Tuesday. I would assume all the SoCal AP holders will be getting in those last few days - so Monday/Tuesday might be a bit less crowded than Wed and Thurs. At least they're blacked out for the Select pass holders....

June 23 and 29 would be the best days to avoid the AP holder surge. Definitely do not go on June 24. After that then yes Monday/Tuesday might be your best bet.

We will be there the same time you are. We have a two day park hopper and I decided to go to DL the 20th and attempt DCA the 25th (I asked the same question and people seemed to think that a Wednesday and Monday would be best.) Disney will bookend our trip. We are also planning to go to Knott's Berry Farm on Thursday, Hollywood on Friday. the beach Saturday and Sunday. Then back to Disney on Monday. Hope I chose the right days to go, The crowd predictions are really scaring me. We went there last year right after Star Tours and The Little Mermaid opened. We lucked out, it wasn't that busy. We will try to make the best of it this year.

We'll be going around the same time. Our plan is to get a 2 day hopper and go the 20th and 23rd. Not sure of our exact travel dates yet, but it looks like the 21st wouldn't be bad either?

Just wondering what days you decided to go? We arrive the 19th and leave the 26th so, we will be there the same time you are. Hopefully I made the right decision choosing the 20th and 25th, We will have to wait and see, not too much longer! We are just going to have to face the fact that it is going to be crazy busy during the time we are there. I booked my trip before I knew when Carsland was opening. I'm really nervous about it but, I will try to make the best of it.

Have a great trip!:)

we got 6 day tickets online. we are going to avoid sunday the 24th and hang out at the hotel. we will probably just go every other day until we can't stand the crowds anymore. surely with 6 days we can see everything! Per hydroguy's suggestion we are going to use the 22 and 23 to do carsland (if we even try....if it is too crowded we may just skip it!) and world of color. if we can get fastpasses in the morning to the racer ride we will. if not...well...we aren't big cars fans anyway! but we really like test track at epcot so I think we'd enjoy it.

I just read somewhere that Monday the 25th could possibly be one of the worst days of the year because June 25th is one of the last days that the parks will be open to 3 out of the 4 levels of AP holders. Is that true? Will Monday the 25th really be that bad? I think after the 15th it will be crazy busy no matter what but, I'm sure some days will be better than others. I don't even really want to go to DCA. At this point, if DL is going to be more manageable I will spend my two days there!

Yes, I saw DLR29 say that in another thread and I do not understand why. Since Mon-Thurs June 25-28 are all unblocked for SoCal AP, I do not see why Monday would be worse than any day that week. June 24 Sunday is expected to be worse because it is a weekend. I think June 28 may be especially a challenge because it is the final day. But June 25-27 all seem the same to me. :confused3
