New to Playmobil ~ can we expect sales??

We are most interested in the Family Camper & the Large Zoo set both $50+ items at ToysRUs & was just wondering if I should hold out for a possible sale before Christmas?

If so, any idea on type of sale; 20% off, buy 1 get 1 50% off, or other??

I understand there’s no guarantee however just figured the past is a good indicator & for those that shop Playmobil often may have useful info to share. TIA! =o)

Recently they had a buy 2 get one free on these. And I know I have seen other sales on them, just not sure how often these happen.

The zoo is on sale now at ToysrUS for $83 it is originally over $100, I am planning on buying it and if I get a better price I will return it. This way I have it incase they sell out also.

My DD loves Playmobil. We've ordered from ridgeroadstation.com. I don't think the pieces you're looking for are on sale now, but they do have a sale on some items with free shipping. Playmobil's pretty addictive, so you might keep their website in mind for the future!

You are so right ~ DH picked up the Vet Clinic for DDs bday from Target for $23.88! (Her bday is end of July when they are cleaning out) As soon as we saw how much they loved the set & how well they played, I went back & cleaned out the rest of the Playmobil on clearance as Christmas presents for DDs & Dnephews. Yes, we’re hooked although I really miss those clearance prices!!

I actually just placed an order from ridgeroadstation.com for the Police Advent calendar; I’m soo excited it will go great for Dnephews with the Fire Truck & Rescue Helicopter sets I picked up from Target!! And for DDs I got the Christmas in the Forest Advent calendar (Perfect for the 4-Wheel Drive w/ Kayak set I got them!) along with the Child & Snowman set + the Dolphin Transport & Child & Seal sets were a great price and made for free shipping.

So I just need the Family Camper & Zoo as big pieces to complete their collections.

Which prompted my question to you all ~ ridgeroadstation actual had the camper for $39.99 however that’s the same price as ToysRUs & I was hoping for more of a discount. And apparently I’m also hoping for even more discount on the Zoo.

I saw playmobile sets at Costco today. Not sure if they were a good buy, buy Costco usually is for toys. I know there were some sets that were $43.

DD 9 still loves her playmobil. It's such a high quality toy that it still holds some value if you end up reselling it later.

Or for the grandkids! My MIL did this with DH and his brother's Playmobil. Actually about 4 years ago when we were all there DH & his brother were playing it with the kids!

We love it here at our house too and our collection is growing! I've bought some sets at reallygreattoys.com. There is so much you can't get at Target or Toys R Us. They even carry some retired & discontinued sets.

I saw a big Zoo set at our Costco. Not sure of the price; and I know they had one other set--maybe fire truck? If you are a member, it might be worth a look the next time you're there. Thinking about the Zoo one for my DS's 5th b-day.

Before DDs were born I worked for American Airlines and really wanted to visit Malta but never made it.
