I have had an IBotta account for just over a month now and still learning the ins and outs. I am wondering how many of you earn from the Amazon link? I have tried it twice and due to not reading the fine print, did not earn anything. The rules say you must shop from the link and can not have anything in your cart prior to shopping via the link. Sadly, that could be my downfall in earnings. Has anyone earned from pulling something in from the “save for later” area?

Ibotta is a nice bonus for things I buy in store, but I find the rebates at Upromise or Ebates much higher for online shopping. I tend to only use Ibotta for online shopping if there is some kind of bonus I am trying to hit regarding number of transactions.

Thank you. I am not a fan of ebates but that might be because I don't understand it. I need to work on using them more :)

Make sure you have their browser extension installed -- it makes it easier because when you're on a site that uses eBates you'll get a pop notification -- "Save 2% on eBay with eBates!" for example, then you click OK or whatever it says, then it jumps you to a page quickly to activate it, then takes you back to the main site... that way when you buy something and check out, eBates automatically adds it to your account.

As for iBotta, a year ago I used it a lot. I saved up $20 to use at Starbuck for a Disney trip. However, I don't buy a lot of name brand stuff, and so I was just getting 25 cents here and there for "Any Item" or milk... if you're looking to just build up a little bit and don't mind doing the receipt thing, it's fine, or if you purchase more name brands (or alcohol) you might get more out of it.
