New to DVC!

Hi!!! Before I get started, I want to thank you all for posting such informative topics! Researching on my own and doing a LOT of reading here, I am happy to announce that we are now new owners at BLT!

I do however have a few questions, and I will apologize in advance if these have already been asked...

I know the kitchens are equipped (we will never stay in less than a 1BR), but do they have things like measuring cups, can openers, things like that??? I would like to be able to do some cooking in the room, and would like to plan ahead for any extra supplies I may need.

I know the rooms have pack-n-plays, but do they have high chairs? I seem to remember seeing a pic with a high chair in a closet?!

Well, that's all I can think of for now. Glad to be a part of the DVC!!! Thanks for your help!

To answer your questions: yes there are measuring cups/spoons, can openers, etc in the kitchens. Sometimes things are missing, if so call mousekeeping or the front desk and they'll bring a replacement to you. Pack and plays are in each villa, not sure about high chairs but my "baby" is almost 12 so I don't always notice those things

Extra supplies you'll want to bring are: ground coffee & filters (flat bottom filters), bottled water to make coffee with, seasonings to cook with (salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, etc), extra laundry soap & fabric softener sheets.

High chairs iirc are low back wood types that many restaurants have (actually kind of no back really - come up to child's waist or thereabouts ) and should be in closet as well.

Measuring cups yes, can opener think is hand operated but not 100% sure it may be electric.

Other items 8 piece cookware with lids, dishware&utensils for 8 (12 in 3 bedroom villas), casserole dishes, bowls, colander, cookie sheet, serving spoon, tongs. A call to mousekeeping can often get you an item that you may not find in the villa, ie tea kettle & blender can be requested. Probably most up to date list is on DVC member's site, you may want to check there.

Looks like most of your questions have been answered. yes, there is also a high chair in the closet. It is one of those wood type (no tray) like in restaurants.

Great! Thanks for the help! There is really more than I expected! I have been looking through the member website but I tend to get a little lost on it. I'm sure it will come easier with practice. I am SO excited!!!
