New to DSLR

So..I just finally got my first DSLR the other day (Canon 30D) I have a basic understanding of how everything works, but can anyone give any recommendations on some online "tutorials" that will help me get going?

First off, congrats on getting the 30D! It is a great camera that I have been learning on for a little over 6 months or so now.

I can't give much as far as free online tutorials, but I can say that if you order this book in the link below, you will not regret it. I would just order the pdf version as you can always just print it section by section if you want. The pdf also has links to some video tutorials embedded in it. It is a fantastic book and will basically teach you all you need to know about the camera. I like that it gives you the "how to's" AND the "why would you do this?" type answers. Worth every penny.

First of all, almost ANY question you ask here you will get several good responses with people helping you out, this forum is a great resource. On a personal note, I carry my manual with me in my camera bag in case I need to break it out to remember something. I am still getting to learn my DSLR, it takes a while. I bought this book too.
