My entire family will be on the 7 day Eastern during Easter vaca. We range in age from 15 mo to 88.

I am a planner and need to research everything. I thought this would be the best place to start. We are flying to Orlando (what's the best way to get to the ship?)

Asking for tips on dos and don'ts on anything (traveling, dining (We have the late sitting :(), shows etc.)

My Husband and I will get a sitter one night- how should we spend it?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Welcome to the DIS Boards. Click here for my standard "newbie" advice. In addition, you may want to order a PassPorter Cruise Guide. It's the first, and so far only, published travel guide to Disney Cruise Line and it will be available around the middle of this month.

You might want to think about getting a towncar/limo to pick you up at the airport. Sounds like you have a LARGE group, and that would be cheaper than taking the Disney transfers. Just so you know, there are no individual sitters on the Magic, unless you're bringing your own. They have Flounder's Reef Nursery, which is a group babysitting service for those under 3. They are opened from 6-12 in the evenings, and you need to make reservations. They take reservations right after boarding, and you need to make the reservations right away for you choice of days and times. The price is $6 per hour, with a two hour minimum. I'd recommend going to Palo's that night, it's the adult only restaurant, and it's WONDERFUL!!

I strongly recommend the Magical Disney Cruise Guide on Deb Wills' outstanding Disney site. It's incredibly thorough and takes you through the whole process, step by step. It's also filled with insider tips. Best of all, it's free! You can even download it as a Word doc.

Have fun!
