just wanted to say hello, i am new to the diss! I have booked up to go next year in april  We are staying off sight and i was thinking of booking up to go to chef mickey. my question is, will my dd9 enjoy this and how and when do i book?

Hi Chris and welcome to the DIS :welcome:

We are also going next April, as are quite a few of the regulars here :thumbsup2 You will get loads of helpful advice and should come over to the Community Board for a chat too.

Regarding Chef Mickeys, personally I have never been but some of the more classic characters are featured there, such as Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Not sure if Donald is there too :confused3 If your daughter likes the characters then I don't think you can go wrong. Personally, my kids loved Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom which features Winnie the Pooh and friends but your daughter may be a bit old for this (although mine were 12 and 13 :rotfl2: ) You can make a reservation at any of the Disney World restaurants 180 days before (there is a calculator here so you can work out when to call) by phoning 00 1 407 939 3463.

Happy planning :)

welcome:grouphug:

As previous poster mentioned you can make your advance dining reservation 180 days prior.

Chef Mickeys is our 2nd favorite:love:, 1st favorite is Cape May breakfast buffet at Beach Club:cheer2:

Welcome.:goodvibes

Are you staying at BW lakeside again?
We have stayed there about 4 times, great budget hotel and they have just refurbed their rooms.

If we can get resonably priced flights we will be going Easter Saturday, 22nd March for 2 weeks.

Hi, welcome to the Dis! :)

If you are going to phone to book Chef Mickeys (or phone anywhere else in the US), make sure to use the telediscount access number for the US, 0844 465 3232, and follow the instructions. To phone for a reservation, you would call 0844 465 3232, then 001 407 939 3463 when prompted.

This lets you phone abroad for only the price of a local call! :thumbsup2
