"New" Tinker Bell Attraction

To those of you who are complaining that Tinkerbell doesn't talk, I am fairly sure she and the other Disney "Fairies" will talk in the Tinkerbell movie.

Yeah, but I'm not keen on that one either...:lmao:

I know, I know, it's all marketing and money... but geesh, I wish it were still about the characters...I want Tink to stay the same, not fundamentally change who she is. Talking and appearing life size to pose for pictures is not the Tink I have loved for so long...:sad2:

JMHO!

::yes:: As a fellow Tink fan, I completely agree! I think if little girls are dying to meet Tink, Disney should come up with a more clever, technologically advanced way of allowing them to interact with her. Heck, the waking up of Tinker Bell in the morning at the Tink shop in WDW is a much better activity that stays true to the magic and mystery of the original character, rather than a simple Tinkzilla meet n greet. But I guess character integrity doesn't matter anymore as long as little Kaylee can add Tink's name to her autograph book.

I dunno, I'm sure there will be lots of people who enjoy it. But personally, the whole idea just rubs me the wrong way.

Actually I've been wanting a Tink movie for years. I know it's partly money and marketing but I don't think that's it completely, I think Disney has listened to Tink's fans and decided to do something about it. My only concern is that they do it the "right" way, make it so we don't lose that magic. It can be done and I'm looking forward to seeing how they do it.

It's like Small World, I don't think it's horrible that they are adding characters, I just don't think they need to go overboard and redo the entire ride so it's only characters or overrun with them. There's a fine line on these, I hope they do it right.

I agree with Silly Little Pixie and Diznygrl. Maybe I'm old-fashioned? I think another way to intereact would be great. I think there is a big difference between sitting on a float way up high in a parade and towering over a gaggle of little girls. Oh no... it's going to RUIN seeing her fly during the fireworks. I remember straining to see her fly while on my dad's shoulders, getting so very excited because that was the only way to see her. And my daughter was able to share that experience for the first time in February. It was so special to me to hear her squeal "I can see her!" and the look of wonder on her face was unforgettable...Oh gosh here come the water works.

How can this be considered a ride? Sounds like a autograph / merchandise booth to me.

attraction, not ride. hehe

Ug, I'm sad to see Ariel moving over to the PFF, I can't stand it over there. I still miss when you could meet the princesses near the castle and lines weren't 45 minutes long.

Oh well, I'm really curious about what the meet-n-greet fairies will look like.

maybe they could have done something like Turtle Talk, that would have been good. Tink could visit and maybe even fly around the roof, but never get close enough.

Oh now see, that idea I like!

I second that!! And have a "Lost Boy" CM who translates for her...! And Peter could sometimes pop by to visit and translate as well... making it more appealing to boys and girls as well. My son LOVED Peter, loved loved loved him when he was younger. We had the most wonderful interaction with him at WDW a few years ago, it was one of the true highlights of the trip.

Why aren't we Imagineers, again? :rotfl:

How enlightening to read this thread. I just assumed that by now Tinkerbell walked the streets of Disneyland like the other characters.

In fact, as part of my autistic son's dream come true nomination, I requested our family meet with Tinker "Bell" since that is our last name and our kids are convinced she is related. Thursday night, May 8th we find out who gets their dreams granted at a special party from 9PM to 1AM.

Now that would be EXTRA cool if we got to meet Tink since this is not the norm afterall.

Outside of that my son's fav characters are Chip N Dale and Pluto.

I don't know what Turtle talk is...but it sounds like it would be a very cool idea too.

If we get to meet Tink...I will be sure to report back to y'all about it.

Blessings to you!

Turtle Talk is in CA, inside the Animation Building, you should do it for sure! My kids love it!
