Christy and I just got back from a quick trip to WDW and it was great to see that at the Magic Kingdom, the Welcome Show now includes the talking Mickey Mouse. He talks to the the pre-recorded track. But it does add a new dimension to the show. Also, the family no longer rides the train from Toontown. They now wait in the Main Street station and walk across a rail car to be "on-stage" with Mickey and the gang.

Here is some video.

Thanks for the video! Nice start to the day. :goodvibes Interesting to see where they are using the new Mickey. I wonder if new Mickey will be at the new Meet & Greet in Exposition Hall.

The pre-show is wonderful to watch. It starts your day off right. Call me "Crazy", but I thought I saw Talking Mickey last October during the pre-show. Again, I could have been halucinating, but I thought i made a mental note in my head that he was talking for the first time that I can remember.

So I'm not a morning person... I had no idea what a "Welcome Show" was, and now I know why! I have *never* been to any of the parks at opening time! Closing, many, many times, but never opening. Wonder if it will ever happen... :confused3

Cool vids. Thanks, Mike

Tobi, Christy thinks I am crazy for hopping onto a bus at 7 in the morning to go watch the Welcome/rope drop Show. But it is one of the things that gives me goosebumps every time I see it. I have seen several townspeople, other than the mayor, MC the Show.

We saw that they used the the talking Mickey and Minnie during the show at the Castle back in August. Love the concept! It is definetely an advancement in technology and costume design.

I think I saw that in October as well...I love the Morning Show !!!!

I know I have seen the "Animated/Talking" Mickey Mouse at the Dream along with Mickey show. I think they just started using another one of the Talking Mickey's for the Welcome show. I think any show that uses Mickey will have the Talking Mickey soon so that every Mickey is the same. I am sure Talking Mickey will come to Fantasmic, also.

Here is the Dream along with Mickey Show. The Gang all are animated for this show and it has been around since at least June of 2010.
